The question about a 4 party political system is whether they are one dimensional or multi-dimensional. I am an advocate of multi-dimensional political voting systems as I believe they are fairer systems. Australia at the moment in it's voting polls gets over 10% of their votes in 4 political parties. For decades, it has mostly had 3 parties. Now a 4th party has made clear breakthroughs in popularity and so it appears clear that it is here to stay. The 4 parties are:

Traditional Parties
Red Party (Labor Party)
Blue Party (Liberal Party)

Newer Parties
Green Party (Australian Greens)
Orange Party (One Nation Party)

As a joke I like associate #RedAndBlue with English Flag colours and #GreenAndOrange with Irish Flag Colours (#TurningIrishJokes)

What I wanted to make clear is that Australia has a bigger smorgasbord of parties to vote for than countries like USA and I believe that this ultimately is due to it having a highly efficient voting system that allows the political management country to adapt to changes around the world more effectively than countries than have more brittle voting systems. I believe that this gives voters a confidence that they can vote out parties who play copycat to much and fit under a #Uniparty style management. For me, a #4PartySystem is a stepping stone to building an #8PartySystem that in my opinion will have a very flexible narrative that gives voters more stability in negotiating for a better country.

I believe #VotingReform is necessary in democracies across the world and that the Australian voting model has proved to be a very efficient voting system as the traditional parties are waking up to the reality that they can't rest on their laurels.

In relation to domain names, I registered Geometric(.)top recently. I believe that good geometry skills are very useful in developing political technology as geometric strengthening is necessary for multi-dimensional management. The 2028 Australian Federal Election will be around 5-6 months before the 2028 USA Federal Elections and so it will be interesting to see what will happen. I am very interested.

You see a big event happened this weekend. The One Nation party won a lower house seat in the regional election. For the last 30 years, One Nation has only won upper house seats. Lower house seats are a lot harder to win. This cements the notion that Australia has officially left #TwoPartyPolitics and has graduated to #FourPartyPolitics. One Nation has achieved this on a tight budget and so this has not been achieved by wealthy individuals trying to buy seats and so it has been established on 30 years of consistently fighting for principles

I use the terms #IntellectualDiversity and #PrincipleDiversity to emphasise what has been happening. I am advocate of these two principles as I believe a 4 party political system is a more intelligent governance system than a 2 party political system. As an Australian I am proud to see an emergence of #IntellectualDiversity in my country as I believe we are leading the world in this area as other parts of the world are attempting to dumb down politics to achieve short term objectives. Too many people see intellectual diversity as a threat and not an opportunity. I see this as an exciting time in Australia's history as we are entering a new phase in politics where intellectual diversity is expanding and growing and therefore creating new opportunities.

For a 4 party system, the media has to learn new skills. Instead of 2 way debating, 4 way debating must be learned. The #PositionDimension is whether somebody is for or against. The #ContrastDimension is whether somebody contrasts a position with an alternative by saying but or whether somebody validates the current position by saying indeed.

#ContrastDimensionDebating
Significance\Position
For
Against
But
#ForBut
#AgainstBut
Indeed
#ForIndeed
#AgainstIndeed

Currently Australian journalists have not learned the benefits of #ContrastDimensionDebating but they are isolating around of a third of their audience by focusing on the 2 major parties and not giving appropriate attention on the 2 shadow parties. The #ContrastDimensionDebatingModel allows journalists to give a fairer story to their audiences and therefore attract more advertising revenue. This is an exciting model of a 4 team journalism political model that attracts more democratic engagement in politics. It is an exciting time in Australian Politics. Studying the emerging political language as the 4 party politics model strengthens in Australian politics has many domain name opportunities for a shrewd domainer.

I have been thinking since yesterday (Australia Time: I am in 19th May) of how a 4 party system would split into an 8 party system. I am using the following table to show 8 positions in a debate:

Later
Against
And
Indeed
Middle (Not A Position)
But
Only
For
Now

The 4 dimensions are:
  • #ThePostionDimension (For & Against)
  • #TheContrastDimension (But & Indeed)
  • #TheOrderDimension (Now & Later)
  • #TheFocusDimension (And & Only)
The position dimension is the main starting point to clarify whether parties can focus on whether they want to support a policy or not. The contrast dimension is the point of whether alternatives (or alterations) of the position or not should be supported. The order dimension is to identify the urgency of whether the position needs to be decided now or could be scheduled for later. The focus dimension is there to decide whether focus needs to be solely on the one point or whether it could be split into a set of multiple issues.

These 4 dimensions in my opinion could be identified and mastered through 8 media channels to give 8 clear messages to interpret. I have been thinking in an 8 party system, you have 4 main types of media which are:
  • #LeadingMedia (Media focusing on 2 main political parties)
  • #ShadowMedia (Media focusing on 2 main challenger parties for the 2 main positions)
  • #TertiaryMedia (Media focusing on the narratives of the 4 parties challenging for the shadow party positions)
  • #FringeMedia (Media focusing on small issue parties & specific lobby groups that could one day grow to enter tertiary media status.
I believe that getting this language in order is start of the founding process to help journalists break out of the two party politics narrative and market their narrative for the right cultures to develop targeted advertising to expand intelligence and expand the #DemocraticEfficiency of governments to achieve their role as maintaining teams of public servants to serve democratic order.

I am using the definition of securing 10% of the primary vote to identify the core 4 party groups. I think the teal independents secured a temporary position due to the Liberal party taking women for granted. I think that the Liberal party is starting to realise the damage they have done by assuming voters don't want to vote for women. Currently based on recent polls the most popular person in Australian politics is a woman (Pauline Hanson). I don't know about the longevity of the Teal movement but my gut feeling is that they are capitalising on an anti-woman sentiment in the Liberal party that is reaching it's expiry date. The last decade has seen an attitude by the major political parties in Australia that voters don't trust female leadership but I think that has upset voters and the Liberal party is the party that has suffered most from this gender profiling on voters.
