    Wish OP a speedy recovery.

I guess there was a bit of excitement when offer was made, probably details of the pending sale were shared prematurely. Negotiations can take several weeks.

I think it is up to OP to decide what they want to share.
Don't think another thread is necessary, main issue was addressed (name reg'ed successfully), title can be updated. Mentioning the name here several times, comparing it with other .tv names or discussing the price is not helpful.

Let us be patient. Hopefully, the sale will be completed soon. Good luck!!

The WHOIS still hasn't changed. As time goes on, looking like the chances are decreasing.

Here is one for yas , dimoc.com I grabbed from expired auctions 2 or 3 months ago, next day it was pulled out of my account, GD agents said one thing, Joe said another, he said there was another bidder who grabbed it just a fraction of a second before I did. ( there was no bids, and I snapped it right after ending )

keep in mind it was in my pending that night, the purchase went through successfully.

anyhow , I have tracked this as I never believed the stories, and now the domain doesnt even appear in who is , any of the who is for that matter. I am new to domaining, but I think this one smells like old fish also. any and all input welcome.

Don't think it ever happened as the nameservers have changed a while ago to another parking provider as well.

Rob, My company's domain expired a month ago. When I realized that it was not active anymore I went to GoDaddy.com to see what had happened and they had my Domain for auction. I placed a bid and was the only one bidding. I waited until last minute before the auction ended and made sure that nobody else outbid me. However, when the auction ended, I received an email from GoDaddy notifying me that I had been outbid and offered me a broker service for $69.99 to put me in contact with the "new owner" of the domain. I checked who the "new owner" of the domain was and it says that Afternic, LLC is acting on behalf the owner. I check who owns Afternic, LLC and it says that as of September 19, 2013, Afternic.com, Inc. operates as a subsidiary of Go Daddy Operating Company, LLC. So, it is clear that GoDaddy is taking advantage of those clients that miss the renovation date and take over of their domains and then charge them for broker service + the new cost of the Domain (inflated) + their commision on the deal. My question: is this legal? If not, I would like to sue GoGaddy to get my company's domain back which I owned for 5 years. Thanks in advance for your thoughts about this.

This is just a long thread from 2018, with a misleading title that includes a lot of posts about a sale that never closed.

By the way, the domain in question that didn’t sell in 2018, is currently parked with Sedo nothing to do with Epik anyway.

@Rob Monster whatever happened here, there were multiple bidders at the time and now it's being auctioned on Flippa, did all the buyers back out?

Had everything to do with Epik, Rob was the one who posted:

Fun fact. The registrant who bought this domain on Friday at Epik has the domain listed at the Epik Marketplace:

    https://marketplace.epik.com/how.tv

They received a 5 figure offer this morning via the Epik Marketplace. Love that.

Domain was abandoned in sedo platform, that sale in 2018 never happened as buyer stepped back. I know the things as I am the owner of the domain.

The domain was abandoned in sedo without keywords without to be even a basic parking setup. In any case I started again to recover my domains that I never used and Is listed in some basic marketplaces like everyone do. To be honest Rob In that time (2018) was the person that helped on everything. The fact that was not listed or abandoned with sedo nameservers means nothing bad about epik. To be honest I was almost buying without to park nowhere. Some weeks ago that I started again to try and sell I also decided to try on flippa. No brokers no nothing, just a listing. Main marketplace is epik and it would be epik from the first time if things was allowing me to continue and. It to abandon the domains here and there.

I don’t understand the reason of this comment. Rob announced something that didn’t had a nice and happy ending. This is not a reason for saying that everything has to do with epik. Epik is a company like all othe me companies and in ceo of this company announced something. Is this the first time that a deal didn’t finish ? I can paste here a least 10-15 deals that was announced and didn’t finish. I think that some people are looking for a reason to make damage. I personally never saw better after sale service or the most simple, friendly environment etc.

Exactly. Had nothing to do with Epik (in that there was no sale). I stand by my original comment which was just now corroborated by the domain owner himself.

What are you talking about? Whether it was parked at Sedo or not, Rob was asked what was going on with the sale for months.

I asked Rob because Rob not the domain owner posted this:

Well folks, the news here just got better.

We have a confirmed buyer for How.TV closing at $75,000 *.
For those who are new to the story, this was a new hand registration on Friday. The transaction is currently in escrow at Epik. Congratulations in advance to the registrant for some outrageous ROI. Love that. I hope the registrant consolidates all their domains at Epik so we can keep closing big exits for them for many years to come.

    * Note: Traditionally, Epik does not disclose customer domain sales. This is in line with our positioning as the Swiss Bank of Domains. However, because this is such a "David vs. Goliath" story, it had to be shared. The Domaining industry is alive and well. I think the key in this sale negotiation was that instead of saying "make offer", the prospects were invited to either (1) lease the domain, or (2) pay the full asking price. The buyer choose option 2.

Later down the road this was posted:

The buyer is in the UAE. The transaction should close within this week. I just spoke to the buyer via phone now to review closing mechanics. Looks good.

This sale got a lot of publicity at the time and many were watching to see if the deal did in fact close.

What is it you don't understand, no one said anything bad about Epik, the question kept being asked if the name sold. @Rob Monster posted

That's why the question was directed at Rob

No one said Epik was to blame, what was being asked for months was any update? Then asked if the sale was still moving forward, there were no replies.

Good luck on the Flippa auction.

Ok ok man, misunderstanding. English is not my main language. Let’s say that I misunderstood. It was no update because I am not a full time domainer and because Of nature of my job and limited time I said ok didn’t sell let it sit and we will see after. So domain was abandoned. Thanks for flippa, we will see. Till now nothing as I didn’t make any kind of marketing. No knowledge 😝😝. About robs announcement in 2018 I can understand, I can say that I could do the same as it could be a nice sale. Same could do godaddy representatives etc. in any case bad luck. Life continues and sales is not the only thing, correct ? So, good luck on everyone and if sales happens, cheers !!!!

Equity why do you keep going on and on about a year old attempted sale that never happened. I posted that it didn’t happen and buyer corroborated that. End of that chapter, other than for you?
