just got an email from tdnam telling me that the name i won has been renewed

ok fair enough, i knew that this had a chance of happening

but here is the thing, they are gonna give my money back within 6 days

this is ridiculous, tdnam is a farce, why do they insist on holding money like this, its even worse when you make a sale!

bob parsons thinks kiting is a disgrace, well this is just as bad

seriously thinking about taking all my business away from GD

I guess there's nothing they can do if it's been renewed but yes you'd expect them to refund you immediately..

I have a pretty low opinion of TDNAM after I won a public auction and never heard back from the seller. TDNAM kept my money for 30 days whilst I had to write repeated emails to the seller to try to get them to transfer the domain. It was a 3 character .com and I managed to win for $30 so I'm guessing that the seller just backed out of the deal + TDNAM didn't do anything about it..

The really annoying thing is that I paid on a credit card from outside of the US so not only did they earn interest on my money but I think that the refund was less due to the credit card exchange rate being worse for $->£ than £->$.

its just a really bad business model all round over there

the quicker sedo comes up with their auction system the better

pity the GD expired names will always go thru tdnam

I've won several domains in TDNAM's "expired name auctions" that were reclaimed by the owner. Each time it took a minimum of 2 weeks to get my refund, and I had paid via paypal each time.

Not that I think 6 days is acceptable, but maybe they are improving? :'(

They seem to working thier system as best a possible at the moment,I mean...You can go snapnames or pool and backorder,But the two week layover isn't that bad considering you can get a name worth x,xxx for a $50 bid on some.

That sux. They don't have to act that way. In this case NetSol's SnapNames look more serious.

So far I have 3 things that involve this type GoDaddy "scam", if that is what you want to call it.

1. They don't let you transfer out a domain 60 days after WHOIS is changed or domain has been pushed.

2. They take over 30 days to pay you after you have sold a domain on TDNAM.

3. It takes 7 days for them to refund you after their own domain has been renewed.
