Supposedly "FootFetish.XXX" sold for $89K

Hello, according to industry news the domain name "FootFetish.XXX" sold a little earlier this year for $89K, yet when I contacted Sedo to try to list an .XXX domain name, they told me that they are not listing any .XXX names because it's too early for .XXX domains to have any determinable value.

Is Sedo way off base on this, and which sites do allow listing of .XXX domains for sale at this point?

Well if you search Sedo by extension and choose .xxx 6874 domains come up for sale through Sedo, so you can list them through Sedo.

If you are talking about wanting Sedo to broker the name for you then I'm not surprised that they rejected a .xxx

That sale has yet to be confirmed but frankly I would treat it as a fluke. Can't really say there is an established market at this point.

Brokering names can be time consuming. They need to put their efforts into what will guarantee returns. There are very limited buyers for .xxx domains compared to premium .com domains.

There has been speculation that the .xxx registry is giving away premium domains to big end users on the condition that they develop it. These giveaways are then reported as high figure sales by each side. Again, this is just speculation but it makes a lot of sense.

Dotmobi did the same thing. But end users are not lining up to claim their domains. IMHO.

I think that is rather unfair to the .xxx extension as compared with .mobi it should do way better and definitely has a market for it. Early days to be saying they are using shenanigans to inflate prices.
