Sudden interest in my .in's

Hi

In the past 4 days I have received 2 expressions of interest (i.e. what do you want for....) and one offer on 3 separate .in's

These are the first offers I have received on any of my .in domains in the past 6 months - all have been made via whois info and not Sedo where they are parked - all have been from different email addresses. Has anyone else experienced a 'sudden' interest or perhaps its just a coincidence? I'm just a bit mystified by it....

Cheers

I have one parked at Sedo. FreeTrade.in (as in free trade agreements, free trade zone, etc.) There is a lot of free trade news regarding India in the last few months. Anyway, last month I had 24 views of my offer, but no inquiries, yet. It had the most views (of offer) out of all my domains for July).

Good luck,

rxmr

Great News

Great News..... I have a couple of .in's, and about 50 .co.in's now!!! I gave up on .com's, .net's, and the rest, except for a few. So, I hope this interest spreads over into the .co.in's!!! All mine are parked at www.Afternic.com

Thanks for the great news!!!

My .co.in names are receiving more and more directs, not so for .in, where I can check the interest is coming from India which is a very good sign.

I will only be selling on "horses head " offers , the rest are being put away for a year or two, already started renewing on an irregular basis to create staggered renewals without one off large sums. B-)

Just checked stats on www.TajMahal.co.in and the hits have doubled in the last few days - most interest in the "domains for sale" page - don't know the reason for the sudden increased interest- maybe an article /programme Indian tv or press?

Wow, Wot, more great news, since most of mine, are .co.in's!!! Plus, a darn good idea about renewals. I learned the hard way about having to many regged at one time, and they were .tv's!! (ouch!)

I will keep on buying .co.in's!!! Jusr regged www.Skins.co.in !!

I have a .IN parked at sedo. It's now a PR3 without any promotion whatsoever, and gets regular traffic. It also shows some linkpop. If searched with extension (google) it returns 27,800,000 results. Maybe that's got something to do with the PR, maybe not :).

Hmm not sure how this could happen, but its not a bad thing is it? :)

I know as soon as I regged my domains, about 2-3 days later I had somebody interested and ended up making a sale. I've had others contact me through whois and on forums.

I say go .in and .co.in!!!

Frank beat me on .cc, can't let him beat me on .co.in :tu: !!! :hehe:

Glad to see you are doing the .in/co.in domains too, Jarrod!!!! I think we will have better luck than with the .cc's . I really only have 1 .cc now, www.SearchEngine.cc , on www.GreatDomains.com. But, I think I will have better luck with India domains, hope you do too!!!

Yep i totally agree with the huge interest and increase in traffic i have only just listed summit.co.in on sedo and so far 64 uniques and its not even been a couple of weeks. So really happy all my others are getting huge traffic too. Thus far i have had 6 offers all in the mid $xxx for mine and like you tinggg they have come from direct contact via my listed.co.in email address not via sedo.

I am sitting on them though will not let them go yet.

This is extrmely good news for all us .co.in and .in owners, my .co.in are still getting more traffic than my .in so it still shows that is the favoured ext like many others have seen. I expect it to even out in time. I have about 60 .co.in/.in's and it keeps on growing lol

Lately I am also having some nice luck with my .co.in/.in names. No offers yet. But I am getting like 40% CTR rate for worldspace.co.in - possibly all type-ins and goo number hits on hackers.in :)

I have about 15 good LLL .co.in domains and some have had about 50-60 uniques a month - but some have virtually no traffic yet.

Seems generic words are doing well:
My best traffic comes from hin.co.in

I spent an extra $400 yesterday adding an additional year to all my .in/.co.in domains. Now I will just tuck them under my pillow for the next (almost) 2 years and forget about them, while the extension matures. I would not have spent the extra money to extend the registrations if I didn't have a good feeling about the future of India's country code(s).

Now I can get back to focusing on my bread and butter country code, my beloved .US :)

BTW, a special thanks to Pratik at www.resellers.co.in for helping me streamline the process of adding extra registration time to so many domains at once. He is a first class guy, and has been there to help whenever I needed him.
