Subpages and PR

Right, if i have sites linking to my INDEX page with pr, and i am linking to my sites on a subpage ie /portfolio.html

will their PR still increase?

yes you can distribute page rank to other pages in your site through internal linking.

I don't think so. As long as it's a link that the Google search engine will recognize, then I don't think there'll be a problem.

SEs pull links from href="link" so yes it will recognise the link but SEO-wise text links are better because the search engines do analyse the anchor text.

if your TLD increases its pagerank, it also increases its subpages. your linking structure will also play an important factor for the increase. your important pages should be 1 click away from your main page.

Internal linking is important. It helps to keep a good site structure and PR will be transfered from one page to another.
