Please can you share your thoughts on the design for student books.

There are a few different sections to the website including the college listings (only filled for the UK section so far) but there's also the regular search functionality for:

US Books
UK Books
France Books
Germany Books
Canada Books
Japan Books

Once you choose a country the book site will remember it in a cookie but you can change the cookie by selecting another country from the top right of the website.

What do you think of the colors/layout?
It may be buggy still with a couple of browsers probably earlier IE's - trying to iron them out.

Nice clean layout, but I would give the logo and country texts a bit more breathing space.
Once you click on a country, the search facilities seem a bit harsh, i would used a dark grey instead of black.

And yea it will be a bit buggy, you have 20 CSS Errors and 20 HTML Errors that need sorting.

I think the home page is really nice and the logoes you have used to display the differnt coutries were well chosen.

The picture on the right hand is ok but there is to much blue maybe choose a more all rounding picture.

Once you go to a sub page, the grey search is to harsh in colour (as said above) but everything else on the page is good but the best part is the yellow bit right under the search bar it really stands out.

Another thing done really well is the integration of the google ads which are blended into the page while on most pages this isnt done very well.

It gets a 7/10

Thanks for the reviews. I've been on a trip for a while and so it's taken me time to come back to this thread but your comments are appreciated. Especially the 7/10 I will keep working to improve this.

The IE (<IE7) bugs are proving tricky to resolve.

In the meantime, I'm making regular sales and the site's pagerank has jumped to 2 recently since the launch at the start of the year (maybe Feb).

Thanks again and if there are any other thoughts on the design/functionality then would be nice to hear from you.

Actually quite a good idea, and great domain!

Would refresh the logo slightly, I'd place the font as too bold.

Also, front page looks like a parking page - I had to stop myself hitting back. Maybe a little text inviting users to choose their country above the boxes?

Design is clean and simple.
You got a simple logo, which is always good if you have a simple design.

I think the ad placements on site are not well, try to change them.
just my 2 cents.
