Strategies for owning Traffic + Revenue names?

What strategies should one adopt to own domain names that consistently fetch good traffic and revenue per month?

Say, a revenue of $100-$120 per domain name

How to determine what price is to be paid to own such a domain, etc...

I've not actually been involved in any traffic / revenue domain sales, but I have heard that the going rate is around 12-18 months revenue.

If someone can prove the traffic, searches are on an upward trend and the name pays PPC then you have a name to consider buying.

You'll only ever truly know what PPC a name is paying and what type in traffic its getting by asking for the results and getting evidence of them.

Whether you offer A year, 18 months, 3 years or 8 years revenue is entirely between you and the buyer, on my main PPC names someone would need to offer me 3 - 4 years if they were buying for PPC alone personally, i've seen some sell for 18 months, some want 8 years.

(At least if it wasn't just a random phrase i'd made up and was somehow getting PPC on, I might consider 2 years in that case.)

type in traffic normally goes for more than that

typo traffic is dependent on the name it is a typo of

and expired name traffic is 12-24 months
