    No, that’s barely even news.

I’ve got my ear to the ground for the tip off I had.

Visa Partners With Ethereum Digital Dollar Startup That Raised $271 Million

Credit card giant Visa today announced it is connecting its global payments network of 60 million merchants to the U.S. Dollar Coin (USDC)

Visa estimates that $120 trillion in payments annually are made using checks and instant wire transfers, costing as much as $50 each, regardless of the size of the transaction. Since USDC settles on the ethereum blockchain, transactions can close in a little as 20 seconds and importantly, can be done for nearly free.

If you’d bought and held stable coins at any point you’d be guaranteed a loss against ongoing inflation since its price is at best stagnant. Stable coins is like money in the mattress - even money in the bank at least earns a tiny bit of interest - not enough to overcome inflation, but better than nothing.

On the other hand with Bitcoin currently at record levels you’d be hard pressed to find a losing Bitcoin hodler.

If you don’t understand that an asset that, at best, doesn’t change value, is always losing value - then I can’t help you.

Picture an icy slope - you may not rest on your laurels - if you’re not moving up, you’re slipping back. That icy slope is inflation.

Then again, is it possible to teach a monkey tricks? Maybe, but no complicated ones.

    Massive news!

Great for legitimate Stablecoins, bad for Crypto in general. Certain Cryptoassets are going to be regulated out of existence. But people don’t want to hear that.

USDC/VISA and ‘Diem’ WILL have the full regulatory blessing of the FED along with 2 or 3 other Global Stablecoins and WILL compete for a share of the 120 Trillion Dollar global payments market.

Visa and USDC’s collaboration, and the impact Visa’s 60 Million merchants will have is Massive.

Market cap of Stablecoins will be in the trillions overnight.

The demand for Stablecoin related domains will be off the scale.

    just saying.
