Am I seeing it correctly? Sparknames offering two domains for a mere price of 8.77 USD?

Have anyone tried this yet?

You have to register the domain and send an email to them according to the offer.

It says they're affiliated with an ICANN accredited register. Which in plain speak, means they're a reseller. Nothing wrong with that. NameCheap's a reseller.

However, the prices these guys are charged at the very minimum must be somewhere around $6. So, it's beyond me how they can offer two domain names for less than most companies offer one.

Maybe I could type them a letter on carbon copy, in triplicate, and telegraph them a message in morse code too. What a joke. Sorry, not your fault, it's just chintzy that they take your money/charge your account first and then credit you. It's been my experience that 90% of companies that run internet-based promotions like this are only out to hold on to your money as long as they possibly can before giving it back; that's if they don't just steal it altogether.

Offers like this one seem tempting, but then again you never know what will happen to your domains or your money.

I am the Support Administrator for SparkNames.com, Yes this deal is the fact! If you register 2 domains at $8.77 and then email [email protected] with promo code: NAMEPROS06 You will receive a refund for $8.77.
Our programmers are currently developing a coupon system so that this will be a simple process in the future.

I assure you all domains registered are safe and are subject to ICANN rules and regulations.

You can reach me at [email protected] just ask for Ethan.

Thank You!

Well, to me, the $3/name wins.
Despite the fact that you have to reg them one at a time (if I'm correct). I don't like the idea of sending Sparknames money first and asking questions (sending email) later. This just reeks of garbage in so many different ways, and it hints, very strongly that they are not "real" advanced as far as programming/scripts go. It's not too hard to plugin a script to reduce your prices via a code/password or even another SITE altogether. Come on, get real Sparknames! I guess it could be that they are just suprememly lazy and procrastinating (something I know alot about!), in which case, it could be weeks or month(s?) before you get your hard-earned moolah back.
Someone tell me how I'm not right here.

mrfike, Its kinda strange how we just set up the coupon system yesterday. I will let our programmers know that they are lazy like you stated. You can ask any of our customers that have used this promo about how fast they got their refunds. Within minutes! Like our site states, we are in BETA witch means we are still working on it. If you dongt feel like doing business with a company that cares, then use someone else. We put our customers first and if you dont feel like using us then we suggest that you don't.

As for $3 domains. Any register that offers domains at $3 is just a promotion. We offer domains at $8.77 year round, no catch. Sure we will have special offers in the future like $3 per year, but as we are in BETA, we don't need to attract to much popularity yet.

ClickHoldem, would you mind sharing a couple of the domains you registered with them?
