I just tried Spaceship.com. They're a NameCheap brand and launched their beta. I think they rightfully deserve a thread on NP to discuss our experiences with their new registrar.

Remember, it's still in beta so do expect some glitches, work to be done... Would be cool in someone from NC would care to chip in @tamar

I mis-spelled a .ai registration minutes ago and would like to request a refund. Does Spaceship provide refunds?

In general, domain registrations are non-refundable, however where it's not prohibited by the registry we may cancel domain registration and provide the refund. Please reach out to our support team, it should still be possible to cancel the domain in your case.

This is the only thing keeping Spaceship from being a top 3 Registrar for me. Add Sedo MLS and Afternic fast transfer.

Just an fyi - I mis-spelled a .ai and Spaceship was able to cancel and refund the monies. It was much appreciated.

Kudos to them (just providing a data point for choosing them). Once Afternic FT goes live - I think they are on par with Dynadot and PorkBun (imo). In fact, with Spaceship reg/transfer/renewal prices and Dynadot taking/keeping ~$3 of a cancelled/refunded name - Spaceship may be ahead of them once Afternic FT goes live. I'll have to consider.

This registrar locked my account after buying domain name; I opened an account for my business and a personal account, I used different credit cards for each account.

The newly registered domain was cancelled, but why was my other account locked? @Marina Savina

This is great news. If they become AN and Sedo FT partners and keep their prices lower than Dynadot, I'm going to have to make some tough choices before Septembers .com price increases.

Would you please PM me your domain or username so I can check if it's not resolved yet? Potentially one of your accounts could have been highlighted as high risk and as a result accounts were locked by our risk team for further verification. However, I would need the details to be able to review.

I want to leave GoDaddy's expensive solution and am looking for an alternative. They seem to have a very nice priced option ($5.88 per year) for 5GB of storage.

We offer free 30 day trials and very easy to control/turnoff any auto renewals so feel free to give it a try. I use it myself and am satisfied and the product keeps improving.

Yes, you can still use apple mail on top of spacemail. Everything is super easy including migration(we've built a tool to help you with this within your settings).

Been happy with Spaceship overall. But their email service is quite poor. I switched to NameCheap (Private Mail) and they are having the same issues (Yahoo is throttling them). Both claim its yahoo so there is nothing they can do - but my emails from Gmail and Dynadot (via their email service) go to Yahoo straight away without issue.

My guess is Yahoo throttles NC and Spaceship due to spammers using their servers. Be careful if you try them. Of course I could be wrong. But I am not wrong about their emails not getting to yahoo while other emails get there straight away

Today i sold a domain on namepros and buyer wanted auth code after 1 hour i find transferout option and when i unlock the domain and get the auth code, transfer initiated and then spaceship rejected transferout, very bad, i'll move my domains to dynadot.

Hello Ashraf, sorry to hear about the issue. I'd assume your domain was registered less than 60 days ago and that's why the transfer may have been rejected which is standard. You can also push a domain to another Spaceship account and handle the change of ownership this way.

As far as finding out how to transfer or obtain an auth code, I am not sure how much easier we can make this for you. We've even built a wizard that guides you in case you can't locate it in your domain list next to the domain as you can see in the attached video.

Yes, that is right only 25 days left to complete 60 days, could you transfer the domain to buyer registrar account, he wants to transfer domain to other registrar, i'll be great if you can do it.
