Spaceship.com - Marketplace Thread

Spaceship.com recently launched a new Marketplace section, and as NamePros has given me the go-head, I think the company deserves its own thread for NP domain marketplace users to converse in.

Personally speaking, I will be setting up a new Spaceship.com account this weekend and going to work investigating its various features, options and policies.

General question for the seller hub!

At account settings except name and email i do not see any option to add organization, tax id etc
in order to use at accounting.

Any option for this?

I wish. I don't like that any "buyer" sees our full name.

Have there really been any updates since the stats?

I feel like so many of the most basic asks like exportable CSV, sorting, seeing more than 3 domains, and several others I've seen repeated and confirmed they will be happening are taking a good bit of time.

Then LTO has been being worked on for quite a while now, which I can understand some time compared to the things above, but is it really 2+ months post-release of a development process? No clue how much time was spent already prior to launch.

Not complaining and fully support Spaceship, which I have proved by moving my portfolio over, but is there at least a Sellerhub roadmap we can see for some of these things? Now that I am fully onboarded the features are feeling a bit more important day by day.

I feel like copy pasting Dan's features/capabilities with Spaceships design/UX then tweaking from there was the surefire, absolutely can't miss, way to go about this tbh. People are pleading for a DAN replacement/how much they miss it across every domaining platform and medium still 3 years removed. In case any Spaceship engineers/devs are reading. Cheers

I think it's reasonable to expect:

1. Hot fixes that take care of bugs promptly
2. Updates that take a regular dev cycle to complete
3. Upgrades that revamp large parts of the platform every few months.

Have a sale progressing. SpaceShip is so weird. They asking the buyer which registrar they want to receive the domain. Wouldn't logic suggest SpaceShip receives the domain and moves it to the buyers account? Confirming the move and buyer acceptance quicker? These are domains that don't suffer 60 day transfer locks.

Still having an issue where despite using "on" in manual import, the for sale page is set to off.

I’ve noticed that Dynadot isn’t showing the domains I’ve parked in the Spaceship Seller Hub. network solution do display them as "is taken, but you can make an offer".

I’m curious—what partner registrars are currently supporting Spaceship? A larger partner network would definitely help counter GoDaddy’s search path domination, in my opinion.

Only namecheap/spaceship right now but they’ve mentioned they’re working on a network. So unfortunately for the meantime spaceship/afternic/sedo listings are all still necessary for max exposure

Wait... when we sell a name, do we transfer it to Spaceship's account? Or to the buyers account?

There we are negotiating as persons only? no option as business/company?

If you are using SS nameservers, they will automatically verify.

Once you sell a domain, you provide the payout details to their representative.
