Spaceship.com recently launched a new Marketplace section, and as NamePros has given me the go-head, I think the company deserves its own thread for NP domain marketplace users to converse in.

Personally speaking, I will be setting up a new Spaceship.com account this weekend and going to work investigating its various features, options and policies.

That might explain it. The payout was under 2k.

I don't think I was charged anything to receive payment to paypal.

You probably were but didn't realize it. You could check the email from Paypal.

I had a $495 sale which is too small to get paid out via ACH so I had to receive it via Paypal and was charged 3%.

I checked my last sale and I actually did pay a 3% transaction fee to paypal. The amount was just under 1k.

I'm still far ahead of 15%-30% commission some other places charge.

A seller designated down payment is a "must have" feature.

We will have it, though the first iteration will be in absolute dollar numbers, not %.

Sellers are charged an extra 4% fee on sales if payout is sent through Paypal so Spaceship's commission actually becomes 9% when using Paypal.

@Marina Savina Can Spaceship look into sending Paypal payments without Paypal charging an extra 4% fee? Even Afternic and Sedo are able to send Paypal payments without any extra fees.

It's not possible at the moment, even with paypal commission added on top, our commission rate is better than what sedo and afternic have.

It's not something we will pick up soon. I would recommend to submit this as the feedback via spaceship feature request form.

Please consider adding a 'Contact Owner' option. I want my landing pages to display a BIN + Contact Owner. Having a Make Offer field instead only devalues the BIN. If the buyer wants to make an offer they can simply contact the owner.

I won't switch my domains from afternic to spaceship until this is implemented.

I'd certainly mention these additional fees in the paragraph "Low, simple commission. When your domain sells, you pay just 5%. No hidden fees, no surprises." on https://www.spaceship.com/sellerhub/

I agree. Although I would like an option to say "Start a Conversation"

The only problem with this is it makes it impossible to globally set a down payment amount for ALL domains that have LTO. Having a percentage would allow this -- otherwise we have to set a dollar amount for one domain at a time. Not very efficient.

Even if Spaceship's commission is (currently) better it's still not good to have this extra 4% fee added on when the alternative marketplaces do not charge it. This effectively changes Spaceship's commission to 9% for all sellers using Paypal.

Also, what's the reason this is not possible currently? Is this something you can add to the roadmap to look in removing the fee in the future?

@Marina Savina Can we please get sortable columns for seller hub? It's implemented in stats, so I can't imagine it's too difficult to apply it to the domains.

Also exportability from seller hub..it's already implemented elsewhere so I can't imagine it's tough to add and I'm sure countless users would be thrilled.

It's imperative that we be able to EXPORT A SPREADSHEET of our current Sellerhub listings.

It appears 2 names may be missing from my listings (not due to sales), but as a lister of thousands of names I have no possible way to figure out which two names have gone missing. I just know that the number in my Sellerhub is 2 less than the number in my own records.

How is the lead center/flow for those that have received offers/made sales?

I've now moved the landers for a large chunk of my portfolio to spaceship landers the last 40ish days and I still haven't gotten a single offer or lead yet.

Do you see all of their info on the lead center to where you can follow up/store it for later and work the lead yourself? Pretty important feature I'm realizing I still haven't used...

If someone wants go to one of my landers and press that little buy now button and follow the payment prompts just for research sake lmk I won't mind..

There is a window to communicate during negotiation. Once a deal is accepted, no more talk. Buyer has 7 days to perform.

If a lead falls through, you can still see it. Don't think it has chat enabled though. Haven't tried it.
