Something strange about the com/net drop today (3rd Oct. 2010)?

Hi NamePros,
I'm watching some of the domains supposed to drop
today (3rd Oct. 2010) and none of them are either
re-registered or available as of nearly 4 hours
after the usual start of the drop.

This seems to mean that the com/net drop or parts
of it didn't take place:

Do you know of any scheduled/unscheduled delay
at VeriSign?

COM/NET that were supposed to drop 8 - 9 hours ago have still not dropped.

These are pending deletes. Out of 10+ COM/NET I checked that were supposed to drop today, none actually did. I have not seen this issue in COM/NET before.

Here is an example of two -

Registrar: ANSWERABLE.COM (I) PVT. LTD.
Whois Server: whois.answerable.com
Status: pendingDelete
Updated Date: 27-sep-2010
Creation Date: 17-jul-2007
Expiration Date: 17-jul-2010


Registrar: DOTREGISTRAR, LLC.

Updated Date: 27-sep-2010
Creation Date: 17-jul-2006
Expiration Date: 17-jul-2010

There's a thread going on in the Domain Name
Discussion forum and according to info shared
by member "realtimeregister" apparently yesterday's
(3rd Oct. 2010) drop will take place today at the
regular time.
First yesterday's domains will drop and then today's.

I'm excited - this should be fun to watch
