Someone Selling My Domain (Moniker)

Gave them a couple days notice, called them, sent in a ticket with all the appropiate information and so far it has not been removed nor can I list it for sale because someone is already trying to sell it.

So I made an offer on it

Did you ever think that someone who may have owned it before you, had listed it for sale on moniker prior? And did not remove it after they dropped or sold it else where?

I am sure that is the issue.. has happened to me before.

Just checked through domaintools, only reg'd once by me. Funny thing is, I mentioned this domain here after I reg'd it a couple weeks ago. Hmmm.........

Yeah if it has never been registered before, (you being the first) than someone has obviously decided to list it. I am suprised though that they were able to, moniker normally checks the admin email of the domain and cross references it with the moniker account adding it, and if it isn't the same they will send a authorization email to the contact email of the domain holder to verify they want it listed... but their system is for surely not bullet proof. :td:

My guess is, someone listed the domain for sale even though it wasnt really registered. And if someone makes an offer they'll go and register it for reg fee and sell it. So perhaps monikers system is flawed in that way.

As far as I know this is not something that can be checked with domaintools.com

Its now tuesday and still no reply from moniker. I'm just waiting to see what happens with the offer I made. Seller/Idiot has 7 days to reply. Then I'll call them again.
