Hey!

I'm kinda a newbie when it comes to copyright, trademark etc...
I want to ask you guys a few questions:
#1 How can I make a website and its contents to be copyrighted, registred or trademarked?
#2 How much does it cost?
#3 Can it be done online?

if the content is unique and yours its already copyright to you,
you can obtain a trademark online.
with a quick google search i found.

Anything you write and publish has an automatic copyright. You can register it with the government for proof it you wish though. Just put a (c) and copyright notice at the bottom of each page. This isn't required, but it does show that you claim copyright. More info here:

For TM's you can just put the TM after any design you want to protect to claim it and let others know. You can only put the (R) for registered TM's that have been approved at the TM office.

#3 Can it be done online?

Read the links above. Some things can be done online, but sometimes things have to be physically sent to the respective offices.

vlad - The best thing you can do is use the search box and type in "trademark" and read for a week, then type in "tm" and read teh opther threads you may have missed. Trust me, this will save you time, money and headaches. Just about everything has been covered and you will learn a ton.
