can someone have their stage/fake name copyrighted/trademarked

for example lets say theres a girl named amy smith and she's a preformer of some sort and has the name "candy starz" can her fake/stage name be a copyright or anything

That, and yes, it can. Any word can be trademarked, actually: it depends if
the application meets the trademark office's requirements.

And it's trademarks you should worry about regarding domain names. But you
don't actually need a registered trademark if you can prove common law.

If, that is.

But she may not need to. Most jurisdictions protection for these names even if they aren't registered.
