I recently sold the domain name:

For $10,000 USD via Sedo, so happy with it because it is the longest domain(18 characters) and also a highest hand-regged name that I've ever sold, most importantly... it has 0 other TLDs taken and almost no similar registered domains exist.

I hand regged this domain name back in 2012 when I quitted my pharmacist job from a hospital and kept renewing it for 8 years till this year.

I suppose it's right what they say -- if you truly know something is worth, then price it as such... you just have to keep saying no to offers until you get the price. ...And it may take a decade.

What I find really amazing is how important the industry knowledge is. So research or experience.

I'm pretty sure most of us have gone to a pharmacy and spoken with pharmacists... Pha//rmacistOnDe//mand doesn't make sense.

But you were a pharmacist, so you knew. YOU KNEW. And that's what kept you hodling and even going against the tide. And you were right.

I set a BIN of $10,000 at Afternic but had this name parked at Sedo with "Make offer" setting (no minimum offer price), maybe the buyer saw the BIN at GoDaddy at the beginning and visited the domain and decided to make an initial offer of $7.5K later, but I still insisted $10K at Sedo so the buyer accepted.

Congrats your domaining experrience no longer be the same again.

You said, "most one word+ondemand are gone", but somehow I was able to pick up EscortOnDemand in king right after seeing this. Finding it and registering it is one thing, but selling it is another story. It will be interesting to see what the buyer of PharmacistOnDemand.com does with the name.

You could have hundreds of domains of this quality and never sell (1) or (1) could sell for $50K.

You need predictability and repeatability to build a business on. Sales like this are more the exception than the norm.

Regardless, congrats on the sale. It is a solid domain to the right buyer.
