advice Sold a domain but it’s still transfer locked — can the buyer cancel?

Hi everyone,
I’m new to domain selling and have a question about transfer locks.


I recently sold a domain via Afternic. The funds are currently held in my Afternic account until I transfer the domain. The problem is that the domain is still transfer-locked (registered at GoDaddy), so I can’t provide the auth/EPP code for a few more weeks.

1. Can the buyer cancel the purchase because of this, meaning I lose the sale?
2. What if I sell a domain on Afternic that is transfer-locked but registered at a different registrar — is that problematic?
