Think he's referring to smart shopping carts aka trolley? Not 100% sure. Either way, something like SmartCart.com would have been way better.

I bought SmartShoppingtrolley[.]com because i think this kind of trolley could someday be used in every grocery and large store in the world. the domain SmartShoppingcart[.]com is already taken.
I buy 'futuristic' domains that may not be very valuable at the moment but have huge potential.
Anyone else taking this approach?

Yes, emerging or future technology can be a good niche. I like that niche.

Focus on buying better domains for the future. If you go too niche, like SmartShoppingTrolley, and that vertical flops - you're left holding the bag. If you spent more loot on something like SmartCart.com, SmartShop - it leaves it open to far more potential buyers + it's a much better brand and you'll make more money from it.
