Do you spend domaining?

Are you a hardcore domainer who eats and sleeps domains?
Are you someone who struggles to cram it in amongst the more important things in life?
Or are you someone who has just started out?

How do you effectively manage your time to ensure you achieve maximum results?

Interested to know your thoughts....

Well, I have no kids, wife and very few friends (because I chosed so), I want to keep domaining for 3-5 more years, meanwhile open a business and then finally make GF and live life at its fullest. But until then there will probably be few more obstacles, I just hope that I've passed the hardest ones.

I'm an okicokey domainer. I'm in and out, and I shake it all about. At the moment I'm shaking it all about, and I'll grab what I can as the coconut drops. I've been doing this since the last century.

I really need to find another phrase to spam - the coconuts are getting a bit hairy.

Funny, nonetheless :xf.laugh:

Doing this part time... Just re start investing! Just trying to build a nice side income, nothing fancy, just a few hundreds extra per month!

Probably atm i'm speending nearly 20 hours per week on domaining looking to expand the times, probably on the weekend.

Trying to build a schedule like this, on week days follow whats dropping and follow up outbound emails, read and research a little. On the weekend prepare the outbound emails and targets schedule everything and spend more time studying the domain market!

.....I'm very new but it's really consuming isn't it.
I'm maybe an hour or two at night but my brain never switches off from crunching words or finding markets.
I even have a pad and pen next to my bed. I've woken up and had to write things down in the fear of forgetting it.
Most weekends are 3-4 hours too.
I literally have tons of potential domains jotted down but I need to have a measured approach as a newbie.
There's a danger as a newbie that you come up with what you think is a cracking domain and if you don't register it there and then, it'll go.........you must hold back though.

Gareth.

Too much. Pretty much eat and sleep domains. Used to have a life, and friends. Not so much anymore. My GF used to call me Daddy. Now she calls me... well, you already know the answer.

Probably 4 hours a day on average if you include going through the lists, prepping my data for the day and NamePros.

Plus I walk my dog a couple hours a day during which I mostly listed to Domain Sherpa Reviews ... I've listened to them so many times I feel like @DomainSherpa, @Domain Shane, @MediaOptions, @ikehook, @Ali Zandi, Frank Schilling and the others are all my long lost Uncles trying to cram domaining knowledge into my brain .. even if I think their just a couple years older than me! lol

Perhaps as the op, i think it would only be polite for me to comment also.

I spend around 2hrs per day, typically in the evenings where i spend time scrolling though the auction and expiring lists. When I first started out, I spent hours and hours scrolling through these lists because to be honest, I was snapping up names like there was no tomorrow. I was typically purchasing hand-reg domains.

As I have become more experienced, I now concentrate, and focus on specific niche areas and have found that the 2hrs for me is enough. During the weekends, I up this time to focus on some outbound work.

I am always on here though - the NP page is always open!

I jump to domain biz and think like domainer actually last year!, I know a little about domain, blogging, adwords FB, and etc! never thought we can sell domain for a thousand dollar! I mean buy $10-25 and then sell it for $xx.xxx! for me its something more than forex can give! yeah, sometime I also play forex on fxcm, and what one thing that love about domaining is, domain biz almost exactly like forex!
there is paramater, anaysis, trend, criteria and etc! though no matter how good you are, you can't always right al the time!

but what make me hooked to domain biz, actually simply because the ROI are quite huge! so I can tell no risk at all! all you have to do is use previous methods that really work, spend $10 for hand reg, and then list on marketplace, and then spam the hell out! to targeted buyer :) to be honest I like this!

in first year, I already addicting to buy domain, and ended buy 50 domain, and spend a lot! (at least for me) lucky me, someone buy my domain! and now I am on second year, though, I am no longer addicted to buy a domain, but my addiction change to do outbound! everytime I saw potential buyer, my hand always itchy! and say, Hi, Sir, Buy my Fckng domain! :xf.cool: and your drama gone! some ppl reply no Fck you! (its a joke)

last week I buy short domain, R54.net! I saw realty54.com! my hand instantly got itchy! it must be it! :xf.laugh: wihout holding back , send them email! and said, it would be perfect if your domain R54.net! againn, I saw some website COmpany Recruitment54.com! again send them email! sir, R54.net its perfect name! again I saw some webname, Region 54, its football school! without take to long I reply to them! sir, R54.net its perfect name ! what do you think! again, I saw photgrapher studio R54! without take to long, I send them email, it would be great if your web name R54.net! :xf.grin:

just I like said before, I spam the hell out to targeted buyer! I don't really care dot net or com! all I care, I have to sell this domain for 5k or maybe less! :xf.grin: after doing that for hundred times, I never thought one of them stalking my domain! :xf.laugh: I hope one of them will do the Bin! :xf.cool: what if not ? well, its $25, I am nothing to loose anyway! :xf.grin::xf.grin: but I have to be honest, I like the domain name! because its short and sweet!

that's my story! Thank you for asking :xf.cool:
