Well I just parked some domains at Sedo as I was told I can make some good money doing that but I don't get how having these domains parked is going to make any money, I mean they don't receive any traffic as I have not promoted them atall so I am lost.

The simple question is: How can I make money with parked domains and what determines how much I can make?

Simple answer: if the names have little natural traffic you will earn peanuts... and you may not drive artificial traffic to your names
Maybe you will be better off developing or selling to an end user.

To get good money from PPC, it's better to grab expired domains that have a history and backlinks left, or generic domains that are prone to type-in.

If the links were put there to drive traffic to the parked site, they're artificial. If there leftover from a time when the domain was an actual website they're acceptable to some parking companys. (but mostly worthless as they will get purged as soon as the link-er realizes he's linking a dead site.)
