What is the Point of Getting Traffic?

What is the point of getting traffic on a parked domain? If there is no content, I don't think that you can make money. Without affiliate ads, items to sell, ad impressions, etc., how does the money roll in?

When domains are parked, the parking company is displaying ads on the domain. When one of the ads are clicked, the parking company receives the payment and gives the domain owner a percentage of the money.

Yes, they have ads similar to (and may even use) Adsense. The ads typically get generated from keywords listed in your domain, but most parking companies allow you to input your own keywords for your domains that may assist in targeting ads for your site.

Well yes and no. A parked page is usually covered in ads. There is no other "content". The ads really depend on how good the parking company at monetizing the domain. It largely depends on the keywords used, which all too often are controlled by the likes of Google, rather than the parking company.

Interesting. It might just be a good investment to pick up a domain then, even if I don't have content for it yet. Going to have to save up for that, and see if I can get it to pay for itself.

It has adds similar like Adsense. Clicking on each add will let the parking company receives the payment.

It sure would be even a better idea if you invested some of your time on reading the stuff posted here by other domain parkers first...

When you key in your domain name with the parked page, it will show your domain name page with lots of links to domain names related links.

These links are then monetized by the advertisers which will be paid certain amount per click.

Then you will get a portion from these clicks. It also depends on how good you promote your domain name too.
