Is there anything in the snapnames.com live auctions contract at the following url that gives snapnames the legal right to confiscate a domain won at the extended auction last week and transfer it back to the seller?

I currently don't see anything in that link you posted. However, I found some
in the "main" agreement where it can be argued that SnapNames can do that,
under limited circumstances, upon signing up with their service:

Couple of other arguable points in the other link:

I guess what you asked happened to you? Any notice or did you contact them
to find out?

They sent me an email on Tuesday telling me that a domain that I had won at the extended auction last Thursday was transferred back to the seller. The domain had already been registered to us and in fact we had renewed it before they gave it back to the seller.

Snapnames claimed, five days after the auction ended, the domain should never have been in the extended auction.

The domain is a valuable one and we purchased it a good price. There is now a privacy whois for the domain and I have no way of knowing if in fact the domain was transferred back to the seller or if snapnames kept it for themselves or gave it to someone else.

To answer your previous question since I've had more time:

9. Revocation

You agree that we may terminate your right to use our service(s) if the information that you are obligated to provide to register your domain name through one of our registrar partners or subscribe for other SnapNames service(s), or that you subsequently modify, contains false or misleading information, or conceals or omits any information we would likely consider material to our decision to register your domain name through one of our registrar partners or to continue to provide you domain name services. Furthermore, you agree that we may suspend, cancel or transfer your domain name services in order to: (i) correct mistakes made by us, a registrar partner, or the registry in registering your chosen domain name, or (ii) to resolve a dispute under the Dispute Policy.
This seems to be the case.
