Site Not Being Indexed By Google

I owned DavidGridley.com in the past, then let it drop in favor of other projects. In the interim, someone regged it and put up a site regarding money laundering (of all things) on the domain, then apparently let it drop and I re-regged it recently and put up a blog.

Been up a bit now and I notice Google still has not indexed a single post on the site as yet which is unusual. I'm getting traffic but it's all from Reddit and sig links.

Any way to tell if the domain was blacklisted? It's indexed by msn and yahoo...

If I were you I'd get a new design. Get a template that doesn't have spammy links like "Car Accident Compensation".

I'd then start blogging again on http://lookwhatdavefound.wordpress.com/ (wordpress.com blogs index fairly quickly, remove the spammier links from there too) and link that to davidgridley.com, also try to get other links to davidgridley.com

If in a couple of weeks you haven't been crawled or indexed, submit a "Request reconsideration" form within Google's webmaster tools.

Good luck.

You have it here in your sig and with the amount of posts you have, I don't think it will not be picked up by bots.

But still it isn't indexed. So I think you should go forward and apply for reconsideration.

Thanks.

It looks to be banned.. I resubmitted the domain to Google, re-added it to my Google account, submitted a sitemap and applied for reconsideration so let's see if that helps.. thanks!

I say that ping some blog search engines. If you don't hawe i give u a huge list, you must just copy it on the admin area and all it's done. Usualy wordpress based blogs are indexed in few hours maximum few days, but don't take so mutch time.

Iff this domain was indexed in the past 3 months then seems to be banned for something.

I think that for now you need to understand the reason first of all to avoid further troubles for your new web sites.

What ever it was happened before I owned the domain.. it was fine when I owned it before. I let it drop, then re-regged the domain and find it's been banned.

You may also want to check the back links pointing to your domain now since the other person who had regged it may have many off-topic links pointing to the domain, making it harder to rank well.

off-topic links pointing to your website won't deindex your website...

Nice.

I'm glad you changed the theme. Spammy links can cause problems :(
