I read your blog, I am not fully understanding. He sold you the site and the domain name. He pushes the name to an account he made for you. Which went through.

Later on, his site is not there anymore, and he's not responding after the transactions are done. You are saying that he planned it well in advance not to respond once everything is push and postive ratings feedback are left.

Could it be that he's done his part, once you receive the goods he should be able to be free of contacts or whatever? But you might be right that he could be trying to pull a fast one.

What evidence do you have to call that a scam really. Domain names push to you, site password and files to you, the goods according to what I read is delivered. Except for the hosting part.

If his intentions were honest, he would have returned my emails and he would not have deleted my website from his host with no notice to me at all. He did advertise 1 year free hosting in the auction. The site disappeared from his host ... don't you find that disturbing? I would not have the $500 I paid for the site or the site if I hadn't made a site backup and gotten that domain name into my real name.com acct.

Couldn't you have changed the email and password of this bogus name.com account he created? It does sound like some funny business and congrats on being sly enough to avoid problems.

Seems at minimal a bad seller and at worst a scammer. Tough call.

If he deleted your content, do you think he is selling the content again somewhere on the net? Maybe you can catch him in the act again at sp or dp.

he might even be at scriptlance.

Yes I do think its a bit strange and could have pulled a fast one. But you might never know, once the deal is delivered in most books it is "seal and delivered".
This could have been one of those seal and delivered deal where the guy went on vacation or you are right, he was trying to pull a fast one.
