Often I cannot decide which is more valuable, a single or a plural domain name. I know each situation is different, but is there a general rule?

What about this hypothetical case?

Sexmachine.com
or
Sexmachines.com

Do people tend to drop the "s" when they key a name?

The company RealDoll.com didn't choose RealDolls.com. IRobot.com didn't choose iRobots.com. Are these indications?

Of course, there are Flowers.com is better than Flower.com

So.......????

Whenever I search, I use plural...

Like i'd search for rocks, not rock

Rocks are in my driveway, Rock is music. A sex machine, multiple sex machines. I guess it all depends on your target.

It really does just depend. Could go either way if you think you will lose
some type-in traffic then just reg them both.
However I normally type in singular.
Google -vs- Googles

Product names are generally better as plurals; for instance, just look at the some of the most well-known online businesses based on generic domains like Hotels.com, Cars.com, Tickets.com, Tires.com, Loans.com, etc.

Singular or plural domain in most cases depends on the name. I suppose people tend to drop the 's' while typing a name in the toolbar so registering both and redirecting one to the other might help as you will not lose type-in traffic to either of the names.

I would prefer singular.

But there are situations where plural is more suitable then singular. That descision is to be made by the buyer.

If the domain you are regging is a premium one. then I would suggest regging both versions singular and plural.

This tends to be true. But, there are many instances in which the singular is as good as the plural.

I register first singular words that are obviously singular if I run out of singular then plural. for example:
ant.com if run out
reg: ants.com

If the name(s) are still available to be *regged* what are the chances of them being *premium* ?? :)

if you are planning to target a multiple target then use plurar but if it's just another name i think it would be better not to use plural.
