It depends on the word/term used within the domain. Here is an example;

BuyDomains.com is worth much more than BuyDomain.com

But then again, for the term Cartoon
CartoonTV.com is certainly better than CartoonsTV.com

The plural can do both ways, It can weigh on the domain value sometimes, and it can be obviously better than singular term.

In my opinion, it would be plural for all words, except beverage, that one is better in singular.

I've always placed a higher value on shorter names. Therefore my vote is for singular.

Depends on the name, but I would say for your examples:

Beverage
Cars
Songs
Cameras
Cartoons

In my opinion, singular is better, but Cars and Songs is very good too...

Beverage > Beverages
car > Cars
Song > Songs
Camera > Cameras
Cartoon > Cartoons

but in other cases, eg.:

books > book
tickets > ticket

I think singular is better than plural.
Internet have no syntax.

Well,
It purely depends on the word!

In some cases plural looks good, and in some cases the singular.

Most of the time the singular overtakes, imho. :)

I agree. People forget to consider which do YOU plug in when you're doing a search? I learned this lesson when selling on ebay and trying to come up with appropriate titles. I used plural, and was continually getting frustrated that the desired search results weren't coming up. Until a friend pointed out (the one that taught me how to become a serious seller there) that I was using the plural instead of singular.
