I got bored tonight and created a very simple spreadsheet with Excel. It's function is pretty basic; to keep track of each domain name you own, keep records of how much the domain cost you to obtain/register, the amount of money the domain is potentially worth, track each domain's selling price (how much you sold it for), calculate your total investment to date, calculate your total in sales, and output your overall net profit.

It will come in handy if you are an active domain reseller.

Hope those of you who can use it enjoy it :)

Everyone who is serious about this should have somthing similar.

I have one that I started a while back.. A lot more detail though and more colorful:) I can unhide everything and know all I ever wanted about my DNs or keep it simple and just show my profits.

Def. Keep track of everything... IMO

Excel is fine if you own some 100 domains, but when you pass the 500 there is no way you can keep the info up to date.
So IMO the only solution is the automated DRT software (99$) which besides the portfolio management offers wery nice additional features.

The screenshots and flash movie for the portfolio management part of DRT software don't seem to show it manages any of the finacials?

Download the trial, and give it a try.
There are several fields for financial information & custom notes.

PS:
DNOA.org members can get DRT for only 99$.
