The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

@todaygold your quite the mouthpiece for being a noob. I checked your posts, you seem to like going around insulting people.
https://www.namepros.com/members/todaygold.992548/
As for the others here offering their unconstructive critisism, stfu
It's a subdomain, so what. Practice, just trying something new, looking for opinions.
How do we know this is all their names, since @todaygold has stated all members names are crap?
@Eric Lyon again, this is what namepros is coming too?

Kite asked members for some advice, and was insulted to the point they shut the thread down for a while.

I do try and contribute to this forum, ya controversly at times, I know typo I only got grade 10

Be nice people. I see I just got warning for not saying nice things in Omar's thread.

No more insults, if you got nothing to contribute to this forum, or thread. Go to the other forum and cause trouble. Sorry you got bashed Kite, do your thing, anytime I can be of some help let me know
I closed the thread for a while because i felt so bad. But opened it because i don't want to do this favor of some people. If you try to hurt me, i ll be stronger. You don't know very well @kite26

You sound like a little school boy, please, grow up if you are going to handle business transactions. A simple thread on a forum made you feel bad? Seriously? No one is trying to 'hurt you', they are giving you advice...some of which you may not be happy to hear or may not agree with...that should help you, not hurt you. If you can't handle criticism, then this is not the business you want to be in.

@todaygold Don't write here, i have already ignored you and i suggest you to ignore me. I don't want to read any of your posts. Never! Ι respect this forum, i have made friends here, even some bucks, i don't want to expand further. The subject is over for me.

I call it like I see it. Sorry if 90% of the domains posted in the appraisal section are terrible. I don't think letting people know they bought junk is a bad thing...it helps them save money by not buying more bad names or spending a ton on renewing them. If they want to ask for people's opinions, then they need to be mature enough to handle the answers...whether those answers be what they wanted to hear or not.

So has your 20 days of domaining taught you enough to offer people advice you think? With an attitude like that, you wont get far in this business... Someone gave this advice in this thread. You should take it and start treating people with a bit of respect. Being a noob and an @hole wont get you much respect. The person you piss off today, might be the buyer that passes your name over tomorrow.

Who said I have only been dealing with domains for 20 days? I simply joined this forum last month because I now have more time since I retired from my full-time job...I've been into domains for years. As I said before, I tell it like I see it...not everything can be given a positive spin. And as you may notice, apparently people like what I have to say...seeing as how I posted less than 140 messages, yet have over 100 likes to those messages. You, by comparison, have over 10 times the number of posts as me, but you still haven't even hit 200 likes yet. Maybe that should tell you something.

It does tell me something. That I am here to do business and you are here to get likes being a troll.

Oh and you have been in the business for years now? Apperently so has 50% of the new users that joined this year. All those industry experts flooding in. But you have to face that here you are just another noob with no history.

First, that makes no sense. If you are here to do business, then why are you not getting more likes and positive feedback? And if everyone else thinks I'm a troll, why would they be liking my posts?
Second, when did I say I have been in the 'business'? I worked an unrelated full-time job and recently retired early, giving me more times for my hobbies...domaining is something I enjoy...I don't need domains to make a living...I just do it in my spare time because I enjoy it.

Unlike you I have plenty of positive feedback. The real kind. Check my trade score. I did more than 1 million usd worth of business on this platform alone. You got zero feedback. Wonder why.

Okay then you havent been in the business for years. So I was right. You are a noob.

Regarding likes. I dont value them much. I could get 500 today by posting in all the welcome threads or the like. Also they are fairly recent feature in my book.

Anyways congratz on the early retirement. This means you can spend your time being a full time @hole online. Sounds great. Good luck with that.

As I said before, I don't consider it a 'business' for me...I've been in domains for years, but I don't do it for a living or need it to make money...I do it as a hobby because I enjoy it. And I didn't post in the welcome forum actually...all of my likes are legit because people like what I have to say. But hey, if you're up to a challenge...go ahead and try to get 500 more likes in the next 24 hours, let's see how well that works for you.

@todaygold
I can't sit and see my effort be insulted. Go ban some spammers and thiefs and leave me alone ok? And if you want to help me, please answer to my question. And if anyone doesn't like my names. Do you know sth?

I DON'T CARE!

And yes, i answered with my professional and polite way. Finally if anyone wants ''good names'' please go to Top domains section and leave me alone.

Did you not get the message buddy? Kite asked you to get lost, go spam someone elses thread.
Thanks

My humble opinion on your new domain portfolio website, as requested in the original post:

DESIGN
Currently, it's a very basic start to a complete end-product, so not much can be said on the design-work itself. I would suggest starting with a color-theme (2-3 colors would do), appropriate images, and a logo (if possible).

LAYOUT
The website is in It's basic blank-template form, other than the extensive domain-name-list in the navigation. I don't really think that it's necessary for a domainer to invest in every single TLD available, this is perhaps more suited for registrars. I'd stick with the top ones and categorize the generics under a "more" tab.

CONTENT
An "about" page and some professional looking contact details (eg. email address) will add professionalism to your website. A footer section is also a must (for more reasons than one). Other than that, if you are planning on continuing the new-tab-redirection to third-party landing pages, I would suggest that you have a "how it works" page that briefly explains the buying process to the end-user.

USING A SUBDOMAIN
I'd personally use a custom domain name for the site (as opposed to a subdomain), but it's not a deal-breaker. I won't steer away from your site if you're using a subdomain, but (to me personally) it comes across as though you are not by the means to afford one. This could count against you in a negotiation scenario.

THE WEEBLY PLATFORM
I have no personal issues with Weebly. I was introduced to websites through Yola and Weebly years ago, and even though I now predominantly work with Wordpress, I continue to use Weebly on occasion (especially for smaller/short-term projects).

It is, however, important that you acknowledge the fact that you could lose your entire work (with no warning) if Weebly for whatever reason decides to suspend your account. To safeguard yourself, I would suggest using a fiverr.com option of duplicating/converting your completed Weebly site into Wordpress, as a backup.

I'll PM you shortly with some design ideas/examples and an optional $50 quick-fix.

Regards
Clint
