Hello, i want your opinion about my new domain portfolio website. I used weebly and i tried to keep it simple. It's my signature link. I want your help about the site (what i can do better for example)

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

home page artwork looks creepy

when you click "domain list", it should take you to a "list of domains"

look at some other portfolio sites to get general idea of presentation

Good Luck!

imo...

the homepage has nothing on it. One ad, with dropdowns happening all over the place.
No names on home page, looks incomplete. Work in progress :)

Thank you @biggie I know, i just selected one image between available. @MasterOfMyDomains you gave me an idea. I will put some names on home page instead of an awkward image.

Ummm, you have a domain portfolio website and want to be taken seriously...and you are using a Weebly subdomain and Weebly site?

I did some changes. I divided the extensions names to letters and i added some featured names on homepage. Maybe i will create a logo but this is not a problem.

@todaygold I want simplicity and i don't care about the domain name. Yes, it's a sub-domain and i want to give a trial to this. I believe that if i use my premiumnames.online domain for this website it's an overkill. At least, building a site with weebly it's easy for non experienced users. That is good for me.

With an attitude like that you aren't going to get far in this business. It's NOT about what's good for you...it's about the buyer. You do NOT want to appear inexperienced or ignorant of domains and websites when you are trying to sell domains. If I wanted to buy any of your domains, your site would immediately put me off and I would probably consider buying a different name from someone else. You need to appear like a professional and like you know what you are doing.

If i was already professional i wouldn't post this thread. I am listening what you say carefully.

Okay. If you are listening carefully, then let me give one last piece of advice. Not trying to sound mean, but I would go over your domains carefully before renewing them and consider each one if it is worth it. Quickly looking through your list, I don't really see many 'premium' domains that I would pay for. I don't think many of them will sell, so don't go broke renewing all of those domains if you aren't selling.

its abotu the domains.. not the site. u can link to text file like http://www.rapidtables.com/tools/notepad.htm or something
and u will still be flooded with sales and offers if your domains are worth it.

so keep reading np and web how to make best domain investments.. instead of wasting your time with sites. gl.

I didn't ask your advice for the names. I asked advice for the portfolio site.

I can't sit and see my effort be insulted. Go ban some spammers and thiefs and leave me alone ok? And if you want to help me, please answer to my question. And if anyone doesn't like my names. Do you know sth?

I DON'T CARE!

And yes, i answered with my professional and polite way. Finally if anyone wants ''good names'' please go to Top domains section and leave me alone.

Wow. Just wow. You need to mature...a lot. If you want to waste your money renewing a bunch of .biz and .cloud and .space domains that have no real value...be my guest. Sorry for trying to help you.

Seriously ?
You want to sell domain names so you should care about the domain name. Why would people take you seriously otherwise.
The domain name is also important for SEO and you don't want to build a home on a domain that you do not control. It could be sunsetted one day, Centralnic-mode :)

When I saw all those links in the middle of the page, I thought that it looked like a parked page. If I stumbled on your site while surfing the Internet, I would close the window immediately. There are very little graphics. The human touch is missing.
I know it's a development exercise but I would not advise spending too much time on it.
In fact domain portfolios are generally useless. I know, because I built one too :lookaround:
If somebody wants a domain that you own, they will find you. They will either type the domain or use whois. Unless you redirect the domains to your site, nobody will visit it.

People don't browse for domain names, except maybe on very large platforms like Sedo or Buydomains because there is choice and they can search for certain keywords/patterns.

Concentrate on the inventory, not the front window. Good luck.

When it comes to creating a website.... when you are done.. there is one question you need to ask yourself.

Would YOU feel comfortable handing over $1000 or whatever to this business.?

If you can't answer yes to that then you need to keep working on the site until you can say YES.... then after that you ask other people for their input on the site.

In all honesty, if I went over to the site and I saw it on a free weebly platform....I would be very hesitant to spend any money there. Even if the site looked good... the weebly domain would be an immediate red flag for me.

Think about it this way...you are a domain market place. You are selling people domain names due to their brand ability or relevance to their business....If I was a customer on your site I would immediately think that you don't believe in what you selling because you yourself do not see the value in having a domain name for your own business.

It's like walking into a BWM dealership.. and the sales people are telling u what an awesome car it is and that the build quality is great and safety is awesome and so is the performance and blah blah blah blah....basically telling u that there is no better car on the planet...but then u glance over to the staff parking area and you see that all of them drive Mercedes Benz as their personal vehicles...

@todaygold your quite the mouthpiece for being a noob. I checked your posts, you seem to like going around insulting people.
https://www.namepros.com/members/todaygold.992548/
As for the others here offering their unconstructive critisism, stfu
It's a subdomain, so what. Practice, just trying something new, looking for opinions.
How do we know this is all their names, since @todaygold has stated all members names are crap?
@Eric Lyon again, this is what namepros is coming too?

Kite asked members for some advice, and was insulted to the point they shut the thread down for a while.

I do try and contribute to this forum, ya controversly at times, I know typo I only got grade 10

Be nice people. I see I just got warning for not saying nice things in Omar's thread.

No more insults, if you got nothing to contribute to this forum, or thread. Go to the other forum and cause trouble. Sorry you got bashed Kite, do your thing, anytime I can be of some help let me know

I call it like I see it. Sorry if 90% of the domains posted in the appraisal section are terrible. I don't think letting people know they bought junk is a bad thing...it helps them save money by not buying more bad names or spending a ton on renewing them. If they want to ask for people's opinions, then they need to be mature enough to handle the answers...whether those answers be what they wanted to hear or not.
