Good extension, but the wave of ngtlds extensions doesn't help .top, unfortunately.
The wave is just a wave but .top is the rock - so no problem, it just need time.

The only one I would vaguely want is mountain.top and even then I would not be asking $10,000 euros

mountain.top is a great domain - if I would own it, I would asking for 14,999.00 USD at least.

It is owned by Registry as all other singulars.
And they are priced usually at $1,XXX.

I agree but are we only taking China with this extension? I'm looking global...

I'm also talking about English keywords... a lot of singulars are owned by Registry and priced for $1,XXX...

The highest price that I saw - $2,XXX.

I agree, most good names were not available and high priced. A few fell through the cracks as they always do. ;)

Renewal fee for those Premiums is standard...

So if Registry can't sell them for $1,xxx 1.5 years already - then what you expect from your names???

For example, I own newsletter.top - that's an english, even totally web related word (plus it's 100 % in 'german' usage too).
My asking price is 9,999.00 EUR - probably more in future, I will see.
But sure not less.

It's an understandable thing if the regsistry priced top words probably lower than a private domainer - at the end they got the yearly rent for it while for the domainer it's just one sale.

Hahaahaaa it may look like so for you but that's complete nonsense, really ;)
For example, visit FACEBOOK and search for .top domain - there is more than one group already.

It's natural that the 'king of .top' is more activ in this extension than a 'normal' .top investor - but at the end .top is worldwide in usage and it growwws.

This pricing will result in sales to endusers - and that's good.
