RMGPrice.com - chose this because in bitcoin phrases it was highest searched phrase monthly behind bitcoin itself.

Sooo.... I might be missing something here, but I really don't get how any of the names that are being registered are going to be sold in any sort of aftermarket. ..

From what I read in the news release, the digitized gold will be traded through proper channels,
i.e. brokerage houses, which may or may not include discount online brokerage services such as E*TRADE.

I don't understand how registering a keyword preceded or followed by "RMG" will amount to big bucks.... unless your plan was to turn the name into a blog and write articles on sales, trends and money being made etc. etc...

I'm not trying to shoot down any domainer who is thinking outside of the box. Speculation is key to making money not only in this business but in many.

So, if somebody could fill me in and tell me why this is such a great idea for a domain (RMG), and what I'm missing here it would be greatly appreciated.

Took the words right out of my mouth! But you said it better. I've read the press releases. It's all a bit vague. Just that royal mint will be approaching all interested parties. For WHAT? I have not clue.

I've got couple days before grace delete. In this biz it's sometimes smarter to "shoot first ask questions later." So I've got some choice RMG domains and in the process some interesting ones already taken like rmgcasino.com and rmgshop.com and rmgstore.com

Rmg's are blockchain "receipts " for gold ownership. Which entitles you to guaranteed conversion to gold. I'm assuming at point of purchase the price is locked .

Rmg's I'm assuming can be kept on a flash drive like cryptos.

Can you give some one $1 million dollars in rmg's in exchange for a house? A car? Shopping online?

As the value of all currencies get devalued . As a retailer would you not look into developing ways to allow your rich customers with stable gold backed rmg's a way to pay with rmg's ?

There is no VAT on purchases, and there is currently no capital gains tax on profits. Gold bars are usually of a higher purity than the coins, and are not subject to VAT, but I believe they are subject to capital gains tax It will be interesting to see where RMG fits into this.

Thanks but as for taxes what about when foreigners want to buy gold or rmg's for that matter? Crossing borders and all that. That has to incur tax.

I see rmg's being sold to resellers who have multiple locations world wide so that they can offset the tax on themselves and extend the savings to the customer locally where they may be.

I'd like to see if rmg's end up on a crypto tracking site like coingecko.

I'm actually about to get the 411 on RMG direct from Royal mint via email later. Really want to know what their plans are with this.

Most importantly is will this RMG ever be used by regular people to buy stuff online like bitcoin?
