Just wondering what the general thoughts are about whether the recent trend to legalize marijuana will boost the prices of pot-related domains?

Uuuuuuhhhhmmmmmm...Yes. Why are you asking ?
Uuuuuuhhhhmmmmmm...
Mmmmm beeeeeeecause I was trying to point out the link in my post to those that might have some?!?!?
Yep, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
newb askingNever noticed updates or changes after the auction is finalized. For example, HappyHemp closed at $7400, but then buyer never paid so it dropped down to an alternate bidder and finalized at $1801. It still reads 7400 on NB.
None of that makes any sense. How does it go from a closed $7400, winner not paying. Then the “alternate bidder” gets it at $1801. Where were the bidders or bidder directly below the $7400 ? Unless my math is truly that bad, there’s a bIg gap in there?? How does that work ?

The CULTIVATION word is to complicated, it is more on the farmer level, and not so much on the processor, or end user who would actually process the final product, not simply the growing stage which is more of a commodity sale to producers.HempCultivation com
maybe little bit long but still really nice generic..
When I lose out on an expired auction, I now copy the entire bid thread when the auction ends. I do this when I think there's a chance the high bidder might not pay (really just a gut feeling and on the higher ticket items). This gives me the exact history of the bidding so I know what I should pay if the winner disappears...I’m having fits posting screenshots. Here’s the deal...
Cannasticks ended at GoDaddy and the high bidder didn’t pay. GoDaddy offered it to me as second high bid at $2069 but I didn’t bid that amount. Then they say the auction ended at $1059 which was my bid and they sold to another bidder.
They have become a disgraceful and dishonest service in my eyes.
The reason we’re discussing it here is because most of these auction shenanigans have been happening with pot domains. Can we move the GD Auction issues some of you are experiencing to another Namepros Discussion ..... as this Discussion is for "Showcase and Discuss Marijuana/Pot/Hemp/Cannabis domains"... and not GD Auction concerns!

My rep cleared up what happened with cannasticks. He’s not sure why the end price was one of my bids though. When I lose out on an expired auction, I now copy the entire bid thread when the auction ends. But I should not have to do this. GoDaddy should make the entire bid history available to the 2nd highest bidder (or to everyone for that matter)
The bidder handle call has been going on for years, there have been plenty who have called for it. The reason stated has always been they monitor manually for shill bidders, and don’t consider it an issue that they need bidder handles. My rep cleared up what happened with cannasticks. At any rate I suggested that they implement bidding handles to keep people somewhat honest. He immediately passed that idea io the chain. Would be nice if they actually go that route!
Good choices, never go wrong with a one word, that goes across various niches. Simple Bud is a nice brand also, good quality domains that have a high likelyhood of selling.Haven't bought domains in a while, but I couldn't help myself with all of the marijuana craze. I purchased Legalizo (Spanish for legalize) and Simple/Bud. Both in king.
Can I get some thoughts on these two names please ....

CannabisCola / co
Worth hanging on to? High or low value?
Cheers!
We didn't. It's pretty simple really and the way we have been running auctions since before I started here 13 years ago. As you know the winner couldn't pay. He outbid you. I'm going to give out bid amounts since they were public on the site and you already indicated you were the 2nd highest bidder. So your top bid was a $2200 proxy bid. You lost and were out bid by the next highest increment, $25 in this case, so the winning bid would have been $2225. When he didn't pay we didn't ask you to pay $2200, we asked you to pay $2069 as you stated. This is because when someone does not pay we remove any bids they placed and thus remove their impact on the auction. So if the high bidder never existed you would not have to outbid him, you would only have to outbid the 3rd highest bidder. So their high bid must have been $25 less than the $2069 we asked you to pay, or $2044. So the lowest amount needed to outbid them would be $2044 plus $25 min bid increment at that level = $2069.Show attachment 109950
Meanwhile GoDaddy sent me an email saying I won at a price of $2069. I said no thanks but I’m wondering why they’re trying to collect $1010 more than the winning bid? @Joe Styler
Because your bids no longer count once you decline to buy it. Yes you bid over $1059 but your bids no longer count in the final auction as you declined to pay. I explained it in full already in another answer. There was another bidder, the one you ended up buying it who also bid higher than that, but your bids no longer count in the auction once you do not pay. That did happen which is when they offered it to me for $2069. I decided to check the history just now and see that it ended at $1059 with my bid. Why would they try to collect $1010 more than my high bid?!
My rep explained this exactly as you did, thanks. The confusion on my end is that looking at the sale price, it’s $1059 and shows as my bid. So the expectation for me is that I should only have to pay that amount. It actually states that my bid is a winner!Because your bids no longer count once you decline to buy it.
