Eric,

Just post the name and sale price.
You don't need to use AI to generate 100 pages of information.
Make it simple to attract more people. Some people don't like long story or information from AI.
Don’t need appraisal after the name is sold.

Eric,

Just post the name and sale price.
I am in complete agreement. It's great that you are highlighting significant sales on NamePros landers., Eric, but please Just tell us the sale. If you absolutely feel more is needed, keep it really short and POSITIVE. e.g. in this case perhaps the domain age, the number of TLDs taken and number of social media handles in use, or number of existing businesses on the term. But really, just the name and price is enough, with the nice graphic of a NamePros lander.

The time for a detailed and balanced appraisal of a name is at acquisition or when considering what the pricing should be. Appraisals like this don't have a place after a name has sold. This is especially true because you go into such depth. How would the buyer feel if they came across this report, saw your comments re spam negatives in the name past, and that even the unicorn level appraisal was less than they spent?

I think doing appraisals like this after sales actually discourages people from using NamePros landers. I know that is not your intention, but please consider what @johnn and I wrote, and consider if just giving the name and price and that it used NamePros landers might better accomplish your goal.

Thank you for all that you do for NamePros, and have for so many years, Eric. NamePros will not be the place it is without you.

-Bob

There may be a place for it, but in a separate thread. For me it's made this thread hard to follow.

I reported the discussion/comments in the thread since the showcase prohibits discussion, so it can be moved somewhere so the discussion on the topic can continue without taking everything too far off topic and making it harder to follow the sales.

I hear what you're saying, but wanted to point out that Ai is not capable of accessing most the tools data I use, since they have captcha, paywalls, logins, etc. in order to access that data. So these evaluations are not fully Ai and a majority is actually my manual research, evaluation, notes, summaries, etc...

I would be interested to know more about how identifying why a domain might have sold for 5 to 6-figures, hurts your ability to sell a domain?

Are you not wanting some of the negative findings to be transparent and remain hidden from potential buyers?

Lets discuss this further once a moderator moves the discussion out of the showcase ;)

Added note: I'm a firm believer in transparency and believe in helping both; end users and resellers get a fair market value. I don't think the potential tools for an acquisition team or analysis outlining pain points and potential negotiation strategy should be hidden.

That would make it a bit one sided and allow for potential buyers to be taken advantage of.

As for evaluations that identify that a buyer may have paid too much, too soon, well, that happens throughout life and daily in this industry. Domain investors themselves many times over-pay and get stuck with assets that end up dropping and putting them at a total loss.

We learn as we go and discover why we overpaid, so we can avoid it next time and make better investment decisions.

Judgment of NP landers aside, I think it’s incredibly important to revisit appraisals and see where they actually landed.

There’s so much discussion around the accuracy of these systems, and IMO the most meaningful test is real-world results (of course, a variety of factors can affect the final sale price).

And just as there are follow-ups on Shark Tank companies, it would be valuable to see something similar for the @DomainSherpa upcoming auction game as well.

Eric, keep up the great work. That much is beyond dispute.

We have noticed that shorter sales posts receive a lot more points (likes and thanks) than longer, exploratory posts.

I've wondered if that's because most members don't want to read the whole post, so they don't feel comfortable liking or thanking unless they've read it all.

Personally, I like Bob's suggestion best.

Do these reports happen with or without sellers' consent?
They are already publicly reported on NameBio first. The analysis of them is secondary, leveraging the already public NameBio sales report. (E.g. public information based discussion)

Note: I'll start leaving out the data a buyer could leverage to negotiate a fair market value and only use the positive data in favor of resellers to see how that goes.

I will, however, add a note in future analysis with a link to this thread so members know why negotiating data was removed leaving the analysis one sided in favor of resellers, rather than both buyers and sellers.

it seems nobody wants buyers to know what they can leverage to negotiate fair market value.

A few thoughts on that:
  • You've shared a handful of them, so buyers can still learn from those.
  • Once the deal is done, the negatives might only serve to create buyer's remorse where there otherwise was none.
  • There isn't any action that buyers can take with that information after the deal is already completed.
  • While it's interesting information, I think domainers mostly just want to celebrate the wins of each other.
  • Buyers can gain access to the Insiders Club where you share that analysis for Professional Appraisals.

(Weekly) Spotted NamePros Landing Page sales Report

Once a week I'll identify a NamePros Landing page sales report that was spotted and has not been shared in this thread yet. I'll then dig into the surface of it a little to see why it may have sold for what it did and what I, personally, feel the domain was actually worth in today's market.

Note: This is not a full termed evaluation, just a touch on the surface to gather enough thought provoking data to peek behind the curtain a little. You can find more in depth domain evaluations in the professional appraisal section of NamePros.

With the above in mind, lets dive right in...

Adole.com

NameBio Sales Report
adole.com11,000 USDNamePros Lander

Defining (Adole):

Adole is typically used as a root or shorthand for terms related to adolescence, the transitional stage of development between childhood and adulthood.

Key Related Terms
  • Adolescence: The period of life starting with the onset of puberty and ending with maturity (often considered ages 10–19 by the World Health Organization).
  • Adolescent: A young person currently in this transitional stage.
  • Adolesce: A verb meaning to grow toward maturity or pass through the stage of adolescence.
Contextual Usage
  • Medical/Psychological: Often used as a prefix in fields like "adolescent psychiatry" or "adolescent health" to denote age-specific care.
  • Informal: In casual conversation, "adolescent" can be used as an adjective to describe behavior that is immature or "childish".
  • Etymology: Derived from the Latin adolescere, which means "to grow up" or "to ripen"
Source
In addition to its connection to adolescence, Adole has several distinct meanings in other languages and cultures, particularly as a name or a verb form.

West African Origins
  • Igbo (Nigeria): Adole is a traditional male name meaning "peace" or "bringer of peace". It reflects a cultural emphasis on harmony and coexistence.
  • Yoruba (Nigeria/Benin/Côte d'Ivoire): While "Adéọlá" (meaning "crown of wealth") is more common, Adéole is a recognized variant in Francophone West African regions. It combines Ade (crown) and Ola (wealth/honor).
Romance Languages
  • Spanish:
    • Adolece: A form of the verb adolecer, meaning "to suffer from" (e.g., él adolece de migrañas — "he suffers from migraines").
    • Adolescente: The standard word for "teenager" or "adolescent".
  • Latin:
    • Adolē: The second-person singular imperative form of adoleō, which can mean "to burn" or "to worship by burning" in a sacrificial context.
  • French:
    • Ado: A very common informal shorthand for adolescent (teenager)
Source

Wayback Machine

  • The asset resolved for the first time in 2001 as a redirect to an IP address
  • In 2007 the asset resolved as a contact page
  • In 2015 the asset auto-redirected every couple seconds, indicating it may have been a parked page or ad server-redirect
  • In 2023 the asset resolved as a NamePros sales lander
  • In 2026 today, the asset resolved as a product (Garment Steamer)
Source

Note: After 22 years of sitting on other landers and contact pages, the asset sold pretty fast (in comparison) using a NamePros landing page.

Potential Business Model Projection for the already developed asset

This projection assumes a focus on high-efficiency digital channels (like social media and search) due to the limited budget. It is based on an estimated average unit price of $55 (derived from market averages for premium handheld steamers) and a benchmark 2.5% conversion rate.

MonthMarketing SpendAd Traffic (est.)Units SoldRevenue (Gross)
1-3 (Launch)$600~900 clicks23$1,265
4-6 (Growth)$600~1,100 clicks*33$1,815
7-9 (Scaling)$600~1,300 clicks*45$2,475
10-12 (Peak)$600~1,500 clicks*60$3,300
Total Year 1$2,4004,800 clicks161 units$8,855
*Assumes organic growth and word-of-mouth compounding alongside the paid $200/month spend.

Monetization Options for Adole
To maximize the value of the Adole brand and its web presence, the following monetization strategies are available:
  • Core Hardware Sales: The primary revenue driver is the direct sale of the handheld steamers.
  • Accessory Bundling: High-margin "add-ons" such as:
    • Heat-resistant steaming gloves and vertical ironing pads.
    • Fabric-specific brushes (delicate vs. upholstery).
    • Premium travel cases for the portable models.
  • Wholesale & B2B: Selling in bulk to boutique hotels or clothing retailers who require professional-grade handheld tools for floor maintenance.
  • Subscription Services (Niche): A "Product-as-a-Service" model for commercial clients (e.g., fashion stylists) that includes regular device replacements or filter refills.
  • Affiliate Integration: On the Adole website, recommending travel gear or garment care products from partners to earn commissions on non-competing goods.
  • Extended Warranty/Service Plans: Offering "Adole Care" protection plans to increase the Average Order Value (AOV) at checkout.
3-Year Projection
To project growth over three years with a static $200/month marketing budget, the model shifts from purely "paid-dependent" to organic-compounded. As the brand matures, "Word of Mouth" and SEO begin to outpace the limited ad spend.

3-Year Gross Revenue Projection
YearStrategy FocusUnits SoldAvg. Unit PriceAnnual Gross Revenue
Year 1Foundation: Paid search & social testing.161$55$8,855
Year 2Momentum: SEO & Customer referrals.418$58*$24,244
Year 3Authority: Brand loyalty & Repeat buys.962$60*$57,720
Total1,541$90,819
*Price adjusted slightly for inflation/premium branding as the name gains "Adole" recognition.

Growth Summary
  • Year 2 (160% Growth): The $200/month spend becomes more efficient as you retarget previous visitors. Organic traffic begins to account for 40% of total sales due to reviews and social shares.
  • Year 3 (130% Growth): Brand authority is established. The "Adole" keyword starts generating direct search traffic. Referral sales (friends telling friends) become the primary driver, reducing the Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) significantly.
Strategic Drivers for Year 3
  1. Review Moat: Accumulating 100+ verified 5-star reviews creates a "trust barrier" that converts cold traffic better than Year 1.
  2. SEO Compound: Blog content about "Travel Steamer Tips" begins ranking on Page 1, providing "free" customers to supplement the paid ads.
  3. The "Ado" Factor: Leveraging the shorthand "Ado" (French/Slang for teen/young adult) to market toward the Gen Z/College demographic for dorm-room use
Applying the 25% rule:
  • $90,819 x 25% = $22,704
Note: Low-5-figure price-point using the 25% rule methodology.

Sales data for Adol + 1-Letter .com:

adola.com auction $605 10/2/2019 DropCatch

Note: There's one sales report in this combination to look at, as seen on ShortNames.com, however, the acquisition cost was a fraction of what Adole.com sold for using a NamePros landing page.

Sales Reports Defined

  • Adola.com = Godaddy Sales Lander ($98.8k)
Note: The domain from the sales reports is still on a sales lander for a high-5-figures. Could the price-point + NamePros lander for Adole.com have had something to do with it selling before Adola.com?

Partial ranking Data

DA = 6
PA = 19
SA = 12
MT = 2
DR = 15
OS = 20%
Age = 13 Years and 282 Days
Backlinks = 45
Referring Domains = 24
DoFollow Ratio = 18%
Domain extension taken = 18
Social Account Usernames Taken = 35
Internationally Known Brands using Keyword sequence = 14
(Active) U.S. Federally Filed Trademarks containing Adole = 11

Note: There's a few potential factors that indicate the possibility of interest in the spelling of the name, such as, but not limited to the 11 U.S. federally filed trademarks, 14 internationally known brands using the spelling, 35 different social platforms with taken usernames for it, being taken in 18 domain extensions, as well as some of the other ranking data. The Age of the asset may have also helped retain $260 of the value in negotiations.

Thoughts (Domain Only) – (Feb 2026 Market):
  • Reseller = $490 to $1.3k
  • Hobbyist = $1.4k to $9.2k
  • End user = $9.3k to $21.5k
  • Unicorn = $21.6k to $101.2k+ (With the right presentation you could exceed this.)
Recap:
  • After 22 years of sitting on other landers and contact pages, the asset sold pretty fast (in comparison) using a NamePros landing page.
  • Low-5-figure price-point using the 25% rule methodology.
  • There's one sales report in this combination to look at, as seen on ShortNames.com, however, the acquisition cost was a fraction of what Adole.com sold for using a NamePros landing page.
  • The domain from the sales reports is still on a sales lander for a high-5-figures. Could the price-point + NamePros lander for Adole.com have had something to do with it selling before Adola.com?
  • There's a few potential factors that indicate the possibility of interest in the spelling of the name, such as, but not limited to the 11 U.S. federally filed trademarks, 14 internationally known brands using the spelling, 35 different social platforms with taken usernames for it, being taken in 18 domain extensions, as well as some of the other ranking data. The Age of the asset may have also helped retain $260 of the value in negotiations.
Note: The partial data draws a picture where the reseller potentially made a decent ROI and the buyer snagged the asset for a great deal (based on the 3-year potential revenue projection of the existing business development). The partial data also suggests that the move to a NamePros lander may have assisted in the sale of the asset, more than previous ;listing types and sales attempts.

Congrats to the buyer and seller

Why aren't you covering any of the devaluing or negotiating factors a buyer might have leveraged anymore, like the first few analysis?
Great question! It was brought to my attention that some domain resellers do not want information included that could help a buyer negotiate a lower price in the following thread, requesting that I stop including it: https://www.namepros.com/threads/sh...cly-so-anyone-can-see-them-or-hidden.1378318/

Note: This is not a full termed evaluation, just a touch on the surface to gather enough thought provoking data to peek behind the curtain a little. You can find more in depth domain evaluations in the professional appraisal section of NamePros.

We don’t need Eric AI weekly report.
How many times I said post name and sale price only???????
It's a new sale reported for the first time in the thread, which is the purpose of the thread.

That said, I am also confused why Eric didn't post a shorter version.

We'll have to wait to hear from him on that.

Sorry, Johnn, I remembered to remove potential Devaluing factors buyers may have leveraged to negotiate a lower price so it no longer helps teach buyers about leveragable data to get a fair market value for you. Keeping it all in the resellers favor, but I forgot to shorten it.

I'll start knocking it down to 2 to 3 paragraphs and remove the majority of data sources and business model projections as value potential references.

At the end of the day, it is a sales report thread/showcase, so I'll continue reporting them, just without all the potential supporting data.

Again, sorry for the inconvenience and my oversight on length.

But why you keep doing 7 times?
You mean, why did I evaluate 7 different domains, 7 days apart from each other, and not delete them all after you started this this?

1. NamePros has an edit time rule, which expired for them all, so i am unable to edit them anymore
2. The last ones length was an oversight, I should have shortened it, but forgot. I did however, remember to remove the information that helps buyers negotiate a lower price for you though, before publishing it.
3. The next one will only be 2 to 3 paragraphs with no supporting research, to keep it short and unhelpful to anyone looking for negotiable data. (Just the reports and no data to support the buyers potential acquisition reasoning)

Hopefully that will be acceptable for you.

Mod can edit your posts and just keep the name ans sale price only,
Long post does not help the thread it's just clustering and deter members from reading the posts.
