Hello,

I am contemplating to list a portfolio of at least 20 numeric names, most 6n and a few 7n on Flippa, with no reserve. Now that the 6n and 7n are on fire all over, do you think it would be a good move?

I can't list the names here, but my signature should give you an idea. Your advice and vote are well taken and appreciated.

Thanks

I posted a discount code for GD 1 year membership auctions in the godaddy coupon thread that lowers the $4.99 to $3.80 with premium package.

Edit:
FBFHPG30 for the GD 1 year Auction membership

Not sure if this adds up here, but according to my observation Flippa isn't the right place to get 'end-user pricing' for domains. For websites, yes, but for domains, not unless someone owns premium ones.

However I have read that 4.cn is a huge platform for buying/selling numeric domains. Haven't tried it yet though. Just listed a domain their two months ago but no result so far.

Just my 2cents.

Good luck,

I'm still learning domain market myself, and especially these 6n.com for Chinese market. However, I'm sure even with my low experience and knowledge that I'm correct in saying the domains in your portfolio (signature) are not all equal, so should perhaps have different reserves, or even be on different auctions to each other.

e.g.
You have 8998868.com and 441968.com, the former looks to be much more valuable to me, given it has four 8's with two of them together, and two 9's together. The latter has two 4's which is bad "death death" (or just very bad luck, twice, in pairs, etc). Other numbers can cancel out the bad 4, such as "54" can be taken as "not death" but generally ones with 4 are of a lesser value.

Personally I'd be inclined to keep one or two until a year later, such as the one above and others with good patterns, especially if the number sequence has a positive collective meaning.
You will probs make mid $xx now, maybe low to mid $xxx if you're lucky, so the risk of keeping them isn't a massive loss if you only get low to mid $xx in a year or more, but you also chance getting more as all 6n.com's are gone (or at least the good ones with 8's and pairs). This is of course the "gamble" of domain sales, and there is a lot of luck and taking the odd risk.

Good luck. Let us know what you do and any outcomes :)

How do you view names ending or starting with 54

If you want to flip your names (Low profit to none) use flippa.

Every good names sells for cheap and crappy names sells for good money. I don't get this marketplace
