I have to single letter gTLD domains that I am about to let drop. The renewal is $140. I originally bought them for very cheap and this is the first renewal.

Should I renew? Just looking for opinions. I have 8 days to decide.

Impossible to tell without knowing at least some parameters ..single letter gTLDs are however usually quite valuable.

If you do not want reveal details, just write how many letters does the extension (TLD) have...if extension is short, like .ski, there is a good chance that something like g.ski can have good value for Chinese investors.

If extension is long, like .community, probability that it will be treated like "chip" by Chinese is much smaller.

If combo makes sense (usually letters e or i), like e.flowers, it might become very valuable.

I am in agreement. I will sell off 100 other domains that will far cover the cost of those two. The extension is long but I think possibly useful. I will renew.

I think I would renew those. At the moment you can not get any 1L new gTLD (check for example at Uniregistry) for less then 220, so 140 is not bad at all. And .directory has nice potential.

Yes, agreed. It was nice having the first year cheap. I bought them in a deal for $40 last year.

u may want to take into account that you bought them $40 a year ago.
there are reasns for this.
all L.extension domains are certainly not of equal value or potential.

I would personally not renew.

I like "Q.Directory". The "Q" looks like a magnifying glass, so it could symbolize "Search Directory".

The problem with these ngtlds is the pricing structure.. These "registrars" should not be domaining. Its ridiculous.

if you do transfer from webhost to host.al
its virtually .com price

I keep around 15 or so 3l.co too cause its liquid
but $17 renewal for .co is a lot too
still.. its one of lowest among cctlds
anyway.. but .co is special.. its in category apart.. so u cannot compare to other cctld

other than this.. I am still contemplating if I Should renew
~10 LL and NN .rs
willl porbably keep the LL and drop NN
its almost $20 per renewal

Most end users are clueless single letter .com's are out there. The ones that came off the reserve lists got priced at $250-$500.

There are still some $75-$150 grandfathered ones out there, depending on the extensions.

They are not true single letters, and are not as rare as you think, they have very little sell thru to date. Hopefully more consumer education will change that.

I think some of the registries are struggling. I just read that .irish is coming out. At least .directory is generic.
