Should I buy LNL.com like t0p (something similar) for ~$250?

Let's say that 0 meant o, then t0p will make sense.
If I were to get something similar where 0 = o will make a dictionary word, would buying it for $250 be worth a while as a reseller?
I hear that the reselling prices for LNL is around $100 min for any LNL.com.
Thank you :)

Depends, but in the short term, your best chance at recapturing value on such a name will be with domainers -- and it will probably be more than a year for the wholesale value to catch up with your $250 price. So, it's both risky and it will take time.

Also, there always will be confusion between the number and letter. Many of your intended users will incorrectly go to the LLL site. End users will be concerned with this, so choose the domain carefully. Stay clear of trademarks, of course -- and don't expect to get income type-in traffic in the near term.

You might consider relevant branding too. In your example, of t0p for instance, it might make sense to brand as "top zero" and buy the domain "topzero*com" to go with it. This can cascade into a pile of useless names though, as you start thinking- perhaps I should buy top0 too... and then maybe t0p0 -- all of which are generally dead-ends that will only hurt any potential profitability, and complicate future sales.

Jagusa, thank you for a great information. I greatly appreciate your help :)
I think I'll hold off buying due to risks.
