Today we are enabling the ShoppingLot module of ParkingPanel.com exclusively to forum members for review. You will see another tab when you are editing a domain that is labeled “Shopping” . If you select a shopping template you will be able to access this screen. Please note that you will have to manually specify 4 product searches at this time. We do plan on making this an automatic part of the optimization / rotation process like the rest of ParkingPanel.com but as of right now it is only usable if you do it manually.

Additionally – Due to popular demand we also have enabled the “Manual Relevancy” tool. To use this tool simply edit a domain and under the “Site” tab you will notice that there is a box labeled “Related Keywords” In this box you can add, delete change all keywords on your domains. Please use this tool with care.

If you run into any problems or have additional questions please email or call your account manager.

Can anyone give me a parking panel referral? I have a couple of domains that would do good as shops. (Sorry for the hijack)

If anyone wants to see a example you can check out Snowcapoutdoors.com. The idea seems really cool since a couple of my domains were supposed to be stores (like snowcap) but deals fell though.

As he said you have to manually pick 4 item categories for the shop to work. Sadly i found that there are no "camping, skiing, outdoor, etc.." items available so I just guessed the most commonly sold crap on the net and was able to make the store with "TV, Camera, Mp3, Computer"

I know you have just opened and are testing things out, So I give a thumbs up for the program. I hope more items will be added from more companies since not everyone wants to sell cameras. There are a billion tech stores on the net I would never try to get into that business.

We are working on a better method to match the products. For example "Camping Gear" is not going to pull any products, but "Coleman Lantern" will.

Hi Britt -

I've been testing some domains on the new ecommerce platform, and I have some questions:

1) How do I customize all the generic links to product-relevant keywords. For example <http://www.BuyWiiRemote.com> is populated with almost 40 non-wii links in top nav bar, "Popular Categories" and page bottom nav bar.

2) How do visitors access all of the products? For example, my first keyword "wii" returned 223 products in the control panel, and I see five of those products on the lander -- how/where to browse the other 218 "wii" products?

3) Can I call up a list of the currently available keyword-associated catalog products when I'm setting the four keywords? Currently I'm guessing as to what keyword might be functional, would be great to know which keywords will populate a catalog.

Thank you in advance.

If the domain was not split and no relevancy was found you can either set a "keyword seed" which will populate all of the keywords for you or you can manually change all of the keywords yourself in the edit domain module under "site".

As far as showing different products manually it is not something that we can currently do, as some of the advertisers are going to cap out daily.

We are working on a product search suggestion tool to help you find additional relevant keywords now. Hopefully we will have that in place soon. We did integrate a slight broad matching on the products so many more results are being pulled now.
