EAP goes down day by day, but it has a $2K renewal, which is a lot for an investor, but nothing for shopify.

Thank you for confirming the purchaser @illumy. @DomainNameWire had speculated they might be the purchaser, but nice to have the ownership now proven. As others indicate, it is good when big businesses get new extensions in major purchases. I believe this is a bigger business than any of the higher value NameBio-listed new extension sales.

Shopify has headquarters in Ottawa, Canada, but it is global in operations. It has more than 5000 employees and sales in 2019 of $1.58 billion. Although 16 years old, it has grown strongly in recent years through both acquisitions and expansions. It has embraced IT and robotics in its operations.

Given they own shopapp.com, and it's a dead page, I am sure markmonitor got a % on this sale, brand protection, good on the seller to ask a decent price.
