Severe RegisterFly Abuse

BEWARE: RegisterFly may suspend your account with 1 or hundreds of domains without REASON, without WARNING and without INFORMING you about it!!!

Ok, somehow I ended up having 800 domains with RegisterFly. 800 domains are difficult to manage from that interface so I've decided to create an additional account and move some of my domains to the other account, for easier management. After moving 200+ domains from one account to another, I ended up not being able to login to my accounts with the known user/passwords. The error message was the standard (Unable to locate user account [account]). I've then attempted to reset my password only to find out that my accounts are SUSPENDED.

So, apparently RegisterFly wants to protect accounts from unauthorized pushes and etc but HOW to they do that?! They just SUSPEND accounts, they don't contact the OWNER(s) of the accounts to verify the transactions. They just SUSPEND them. That's easier to do, right? I've phoned their risk department, I was put on HOLD for 30 minutes and then I've given up. I've emailed support and asked for a REASON why they've suspended my accounts. The only reply I got was: "Your account is enabled, password is *******"

However, they've only suspended ONE of my accounts. The other one is still suspended with 200 domains LOCKED inside! It's been 48 hours since I haven't heard back from their so called "Risk Prevention Team".

I've kindly let them know that I will post this issue publicly if they don't stop the abuse but they couldn't care less. My account is still SUSPENDED.

WARNING: DO NOT USE REGISTERFLY. PLEASE TRANSFER YOUR DOMAINS ELSEWHERE BEFORE THEY DISAPPEAR FROM YOUR ACCOUNT OR BEFORE THEY SUSPEND YOUR ACCOUNT!!!

My experience is too that in these situations, the response is usually frustratingly slow. (I don't use RegisterFly, but others seem to be the same)

Look at the bright side: It's a good thing that they react to such mass transfers of domains, makes it look like they actually care about our domains.

I've had a few occasions when my domains have suddenly disappeared with just a notice that "the domain xxxx.com was pulled from our system" or that "the domain xxxx.com is no longer registered with us"...and I'm like what the hell? And of course feverishly wrote to support and called them (only to be put on hold forever....) and got a response 3 days later saying "so sorry, this was just part of our maintenance...everything should be normal now..." Very frustrating indeed. I've learned since to just take some deep breaths and wait a few days whenever this sort of thing happens.

My advice is to cool down and see what happens, I'm sure you'll get your other account sorted out soon. If not, then it's time to raise hell, but maybe just not yet. May just cause undue bad blood at this point.

I'm not criticizing you - I sympathize with your predicament, but just offering my optimistic view on things.

Good luck!

I've PM'd the RF representative here at NamePros. He took care of the issue. He seems to be very professional and if everyone at RF were like him, then RF would be a totally different company.

Wow, maybe he can get me back some of the charges they doubled billed me on months ago. Can't get anyone to answer any support whether by phone, email, live/dead chat, snail mail, fax or carrier pigeon.

Seems that everyone hates RegFly... do a quick search on NP -- you won't even have to look hard.
