Hi,

I found an enduser for the following domain name: FranceTourismGuide.com

I mailed him, and he replied the following:

Thank you for contacting me regarding the domain name FranceTourismGuide.com. I see from the Whois you just registered that name. It has an Estibot value of $180 USD. Nice catch.

I was wondering how much you were going to ask for it?
Thanks in advance.
Stew

So, i contacted a domain name broker, and he said $250 - $500

Or should i ask for an offer first?

Advice needed.

With kind regards,

John.

The onus is on you to quote a price. By his response, I think he sounds more like a domainer than an end-user.

The response is a bit odd.

$180 on estibot a "Nice catch"? lol

Clearly they are thinking anything over $10 is pure profit for you.

More like they're setting you up for a $180 my max

The name was reg before, not much history though.

Still I like the domain. The suggested price is spot on in the case where your are begging (sending out emails)

But this buyer wont pay that much. Goodluck

:talk:

I agree, it's another domainer, not an end-user per se`

especially, if they quoted da bot and did a whois search to find reg date.

not much upsell on this one, if any

decent name for development though

Could it be that your "end user" is the owner of the net/org/info ?
If so, he registered those names one day after you registered your .com lol
And yes, he is clearly a domainer. Either you are happy with $100 or something and offer it to him (don't think he will pay more), or you wait for another buyer (a real end user).

I would reply back simply:
I will take that estibot appraisal at $180.

See what they reply.

Bet they will hahahahaha you.

I hope you haven't given him a low price - we are not talking about Zimbabwe tourism here - this is France tourism, an idustry which is worth billions of dollars - I personally would not sell that name for less than $700 and that's if I really had to.

Someone like Federer would sell that name in excess of $2.5k - it's not everyday that you could be lucky to buy a highly generic name like this that cheaply - in this case it doesn't even matter at all that it's a 3-word.com - it's actually more descriptive.

If Federer would sell that name for $2.5k or more, then by all means, give him the name and say you will be happy with $700, he can keep $1800.

I can't find a single [Country]TourismGuide.com or [Country]TouristGuide.com sale in the past.
Not even a xxx sale.

It DOES matter that its a 3 word .com.

I would also not sell the name for $100, but i would try to sell it for $500 and be more than happy if i should succeed.
