Just wanted to quickly ask if there's a rule of the thumb for establishing the value of a minisite generating AdSense revenue. For a site that generates an average of $1.50 a day, is it justified to ask for 6 or 12 months revenue? Or is there no rule of the thumb to speak of and the value is established on a case-by-case basis?

Thanks,
George

Definitely a case by case basis.

Yep, you also need to take into account the domain name itself, its potential, uniqueness...

However, if the name is generating revenue, the usual is to ask at leat 10-12 months revenue even if it is the ugliest domain name ever ;)

Great! Thanks for your help - now I can finally approximate the value of my minisites!

Another factor is where the site's traffic and rankings come from. If it's dependent on links from other sites that you control, which links might disappear once the sale has gone through, then that'll negatively effect its value. If, no the other hand, it gets its traffic and rankings thanks to dmoz links, then that'll help.

As a Good Guide to the Resale value

Ad income for Year
Plus the Value of the Domain == Approx Sale value of a Minisite.

MiniSite .info can be found in the Minisite info link in My Sig.

PLus remember with a MiniSite ,Less is Best.
Don't just throw a list of 200 Article Urls on an UGLY Page
with 3 Google Adsense ads that don't even blend in.
otherwise it will look like just a PARK page.

At least make it look like a Little effort went it to the site.
I have seen ones advertised here at namepros with NO
Keyword optimisation ,sort of defeats the whole purpose
if google ads for Anti-depressants show on a site for business loans

G_c ,If you do that little extra effort to make a nice site then that will improve the earning power and the Resale value.

the vhir.com pages are fairly rubbish as the loading time is huge.

Yeah becuase you might be using a slower internet connection :D

I think my connection is fast enough. 2mb most sites load a helluva lot faster than those.

The main reason might be 60kb headers and the fact its nearly all images.
