Sellers: What's your experience with GreatDomains.com?

Hi,

GreatDomains.com wants to list a domain name that I own.
I'd like hear about your experience with GreatDomains, are they an accurate price-setter? Do they charge extra beyond their 10% comission for the escrow services?

I contacted them, and then they wrote back wanting to list.

i would let them list it, considering the lowest amount they will let you sell it at is $5000 :D

$5,000 is the lowest they will list it for. The lowest reserve or minimum price is $1,500.

But, yeah: I can't see how listing with Great Domains can hurt your domain name(s). I have a few names with them now but haven't sold any through them yet.

I just wasn't sure, 'cause I'm new at this domain name thing! The appraisal thread on this board said it was worth "Mid $$", so I wasn't sure if Great Domains was blowin' smoke.

I submitted three names and they're wanting to list two so far.. I'd rather have a shot at their appraised value... and feel they might have a good feel for the true market value in any case.

They've turned me down 5 times on other domains so I'm feeling lucky!

be sure to have some more people appraise it before you let it go andrew... it might be worth more then what they want for it....and it may be worth more then what you are willing to accept for it...

you never know greatdomains.com, but might think the domain sux but greatdomains might just accept it
