Seller refused to transfer name.

I purchased a domain a few days ago which I believed was a bargain, it was buy it now on godaddy and paid immediately.
The seller soon realised that he'd let the name go to cheaply, refused to transfer the name over and made godaddy refund me. I'm not happy about this. I complained to GD for which they said they have banned the seller. This obviously doesn't benefit me. Do I have any legal rights? Has anyone else experienced this?

How do you know that?

Anyway, this happens all the time. Happened twice to me within the past two weeks. Just let it go. Is it really worth legal fees and time spent to fight? There's very little (to nothing) to gain from it.

Yup that happened to me once or twice earlier in the year. Like Forge said, you've just got to chalk it up to something that happens on occasion. On a positive note, maybe it means you have a good eye for domains

I had this happen to me also. At least you're getting your money back. I lost out on the domain and I didn't get the money back. Double fucked!

Anyone had issues with GoDaddy refusing to transfer a domain bought through BIN even when it's registered with GoDaddy itself?
