Sell domains you are thinking of not renewing at GoDaddy

I have had very good experience regarding selling names rather "cheap" at GoDaddy Premium Listings and Auctions,

I am talking about names that I previously have listed for $XXX, but that I'm thinking of not renewing. I have sold several of these for $95 at GD and successfully sold about 50%.

Just a tip...

Nice one, sure beats letting them drop by not renewing them.

Those are some damn good odds, 50% success rate.

At $95, you'll end up with $76 (after success fee).

Still much, much better than just dropping it.

I've actually had some like on GD Premium Auctions as well. Seems like good traffic there. Thanks for reminding me!

Yeah, it didn't take too long for me to get my PP payout.

do you find its certain types of names that sell well for you with the above method? (i.e one word .com, numeric etc...)

For me, it has been mostly short ones (LLL, LLLL and NNNN) in .ORG, .US and .CO. A few new gTLDs as well, but they seem to sell better at Afternic and SEDO etc (at least from my own experience).

Definitely good advice to drop the price down under $100 once you decide you are going to drop them. I have also sold a few this way at $99. Much better than dropping them.

I had some Domain names that I kinda wanted to keep, so I renewed the 5 of them today and put them right up in a 7 day auction

Hopefully 1 or 2 of them get bids, then I can take the others off auction & the ones that sell will hopefully pay for the renewals that I've paid for.

If this works I would be a good way for me to pay for renewals with domains I don't want to keep.

Do you auction any of them with no reserve?
