i put my iGolf.tv today in a sedo featured spot- they said it was up- i go to sedo.com, i dont see it- is not listed on the inside page- i email them- they say, are you sure you are viewing the US site? i said, well, i went to sedo .COM, not sedo.co.uk-
so, they send a screen shot of it there- i send a screen shot of it not-
then she says, are you clicking the US at the top right of the page?
i click that, i can see it-

now, i NEVER had to do that before- i go to sedo.com, and it is just there- i never had to click a us link! what the freak?
if you go to sedo.com and do NOT click any link, can you see iGolf.tv in the featured spot (inside page after you click more)
has anyone else ran into this? if there is a sedo.com for us, and a sedo.co.uk- then what the heck is just sedo.com???????????

When I go to sedo.com it defaults to http://www.sedo.com/main.php3?language=us

I am not sure about you. When you go to sedo.com, where is it defaulting? You must select US and one time should be fine as a cookie will be set up. May be your browser is not accepting cookies from sedo. Try another browser and click US and from there, any time you go to sedo in that browser, it should default to US.

Good luck,

Gh

wow- it isnt just me! i feel so much better!

well, sometimes i get nothing from the featured spot, sometimes i get offers- so for the 39 bucks its a crap shoot- but this is ridiculous with you cant see it stuff-
the last name i had on there, pal.tv, i saw all the time, from day one, with clicking nothing extra-

so, it seems sedo.com defaults to the uk unless you hav a cookie set- ok, i am getting it now- i thought there was a sedo.co.uk- now, see if i knew that, which i didnt, i would have paid the extra 9 bucks for the uk since going to the .com is the uk unless specified-

ok i am understanding now- thanks for responding- i thought i was the only crazy one- now i get how their stupid system works

I've tried the Featured Listing but the auction section has always worked better for me. The only problem is you have to get that first bid. :'(

oh yes, auction is the way to sell on sedo- but i do get a nice bump in my traffic to a site from a featured listing, and last time it lulled 2 offers on the name, lowballs, but offers- so i am gonna put out the 9 bucks and list under uk too-
to me, it may not always work, but that is the cost of doing business- sometimes a newsletter ad will work, sometimes not- i see it that way- and with all the names on sedo, i try to get a few names in the front, with all my other name in the description (right now i have a HUGE list of tv's in there)- it does raise the traffic to the names- and a few occasional offers :)
but my highest sales come from sedo, not from other domainers obviously- i try to put my names i there that get the most inquiries at a given time- right now, iGolf.tv has gotten a bunch via the forums and from my own sales site- so i am hoping a decent offer comes in to push it to auction- if i can JUST SEE IT! :'( :'(

Well somebody come out with a better product than Sedo? I rather not sell a domain than list it with Sedo. I can go on and on, but people been around in the industry for some time know what I am talking about.

Yeah, but that being said I have sold a few on there. It is not much good but look at the opposition.

BTW I couldn't see iGolf :(

My best results have been with SEDO. If anyone knows of a better auction service, please fill us in.

sedo just emailed me- i said i wanted to buy a spot on the uk pages, and explained what i realized, and it wasnt just me- she wrote back and put me on the uk pages free of charge for the confusion- so, now when anyone goes, anyone should see iGolf.tv in the featured area when going to sedo.com-
lesson learned for me about how they do this- now i know :|
