Very nice breakdown.

Shows the international interest in the silly little island extension. Must be some sort of mistake, because tv means Tuvalu not TV.

How many end-user bidders does one typically find at Sedo in other TLDs?

Looking forward to seeing your comparative statistics, by PM, posting or email.

We're discussing .TV's here in the #1 .TV Forum™ ... and let me again state for the record; my sincere hope is that End users did, in fact, participate and acquire Premium .TV domains to develop in to exciting and content rich video-centric websites! :yell:

An extension that is not established (such as the ".TV") needs development / healthy "ecosystem" ... this needs to be kept in mind when looking at reported sales figures and all accompanying hoopla in this recent context, IMHO.

Antonis,

Your question is incredibly thorough and very relevant to the overall acceptance of .TV's future. IMHO

...but you seem to be missing about 9 more smilies.

please pm me answers as well.

All of that is true.

But you are also basically making things up tonight in attempt to smear the TLD.

You have not the SLIGHTEST idea what percentage of the bidders were end-users or domaineers in this auction. Nobody does except Sedo.

Yes, I hope end-users were there too. I suspect, at a minimum, people not from this board were there. I am one of the big spenders and I did not buy anything above 1X,XXX.

So whoever was bidding up Christmas and Business and Learn and Job/s, is possibly either a non .tv domaineer or an end-user. The latter is better than the former but both reflect a broadening of the base.

Be Cool. Be Professional. Be Accurate.

Seems like your concern is "development/enduser." So let me start by kindly asking you Jeff, what is the number of developments/endusers needed to establish a healthy ecosystem and please be specific. Is it 10, 100, 1000, 100,000+, do these developments need to be income generating? How about traffic? Is traffic necessary? Yes/NO then how much/or not? Some sites with little traffic have high revenue or vice versa or high traffic and high revenue or low traffic and low revenue. Is there a target conversion rate that is optimal and equates to success? Development is an important process you say to the ecosystem but I think you will find it pretty difficult to explain and most probably will circumvent my question all together. I think if you were to by remote chance in detail point out each metric with some numbers and how that co-relates to extension acceptance and/or value you might have an audience. Looking forward to your numerical contribution to the .tv domain forum.:music:
