I received a $120 offer for a .com domain on Sedo. I have decided to push the domain into auction. My domain had the name servers set at parked, and I am getting charged the $50 commission rate. So I decided to change the servers to the sedo parking ones.

So my question is: Will the sedo commission be lowered to 10% because I changed the servers? If so, how much time does it take?

Thanks

I don't think you qualify for the lower rate because you changed it after the sale.

Even though I still haven't accepted or responded to the offer?

Aside from the requirement to have your name parked at Sedo, you also have to list it for a fixed price sale.

Since it is not a fixed price sale, I think you will be charged $50 or 10% of final sale price (whichever is larger).

Okay. Thanks for the help guys. I will simply push it to auction then.

Now no use in parking the names with Sedo.
I just got charged $50 on a $200 sale even though the page was parked at Sedo. I was surprised by the charge. But seems like Sedo changed their terms some time before and only fixed price auctions are only eligible for the discount.
Previously I used to keep my names parked with Sedo. Even though the names make very less from parking it got offset by the savings in sale commision.

triplepen is correct. I recently got caught on this for a small sale and looked into it.

You have be parked with sedo AND list for a fixed price.
