Ok first off im so so sorry for posting such a negative thread. ... This is not in my nature and it brings me no pleasure..

Facts

Sedo lie

As many of you know I was happy to have sold canberra.tv via sedo on sunday confirmation sent by email 27th july 2008.

Next contact [email protected] 28th july 2008 ensuring me of a quick sale

Please remember the two communications above are the only I have received.

I know whom my buyer is and they inform me on 07-30-2008 that they had infact paid sedo in full

**still I have had no communication even though they had paid

On 08-02-2008 the buyer copies me in on an email they get

According to the WHOIS data record for the domain canberra.tv, the registration has expired, or will be expiring shortly. We have instructed the seller to extend the registration as soon as possible so that the transfer can proceed forward in a secure manner. Please note that once the seller has renewed the registration for this domain, we will contact you so that we can continue with the transaction.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Shaun Wilkinson

Did I get this email........................NO

Again No contact what so ever

So Anyways on this day above I did renew the name as I did not wish to delay any deal

3 emails to sedo later.. and neither of us have heard anything...

Very sorry to hear that :(

I don't think any domainer would mind being charged for a renewal fee on a domain which has been sold and paid for already by a buyer through Sedo... Sedo really should update their registration terms to reflect that so as to not waste both their, the buyer, and the seller's time.

I've never used Sedo because they said my domains sucks. :P

That sucks, though. Maybe there is another place like Sedo but 100 times better.

Could it be that the antispam is playing tricks on you.
Most of their E-mails are automated BTW.

sorry to know this happened to you, it's very frustrating the very ones that should help us sell our domains are the very ones causing delay on these issues.
i wonder why they delay their reply the first time i sold a domain there on sedo, it was like this every 3 days they reply but come on now 3 days is too much already and i sold a domain in 5 weeks :td:

It seems over the years that these type of Sedo posts have popped up so many times running over gamut of issues that there can almost be no doubt that Sedo is a poor excuse of a company. Yet, they are still number one. It's only the notoriety and age of the company keeping them in business, kinda of like Netsol. :(

Over the years my gut feeling, experiences, and other's complaints have steered me away from them in general.

At least the buyer paid though. I have had several auctions that ended up as non-payment and the Sedo communication line was the same. Wasted a lot of time with Sedo.
Can't rule them out though, since they do lead the market in higher domain sales.

I am still trying to get a response from an agent from days ago. I am getting sick of their service, at least my "agent"

There are some who don't know the sedo fees.

I had a parked sedo name sold recently and the agent said you need to pay $50 instead of the default 10%. After showing him the fee list, he then changed it back to 10%.

Are the agents assigned by account, or by transaction? Anyone have an idea?

They are randomly selected based on transactions IMO.
